Just saying, its also this.
But that's just a gunshot in a window. That's like saying the cheese sandwich I had for lunch today is the same one that was in The Devil Wears Prada.

It seems like it has a bad reputation (due to Lazenby only doing one, making people assume it must have been bad?) but it's actually a really good one. That bobslide chase is top notch.
Frankly I'm not sure where they go......bringing Blofeld back really screws with the continuity of....everything. And Bond film continuity is dubious AT BEST as it is. Blofeld 2.0 will really make nothing make sense.

EON has never officially commented on what it was. They said CR was showing Bond at the beginning of his career, but "reboot" or "new continuity" are words never endorsed by EON. At least I don't recall them ever coming out and saying "the continuity is reset with Daniel Craig".

Hi Grandpa! Hello Monica.
If it is intended to be a hard reboot, then I REALLY hope they don't do Tracey again. Both because Diana Rigg killed it and because it's too soon on the heels of Vesper. Have Blofeld kill Moneypenny and Q instead.
Bond film continuity is easy now, though.
Nothing before Casino Royale happened.
Done.
The writers and the director have stated it was a reboot. EON knows it's a reboot. If they haven't said anything directly, it's likely because they're afraid of baldly stating it when they don't really have to.
But it's a reboot.
As much as I loved Skyfall, I wish they had gotten a different director. To be honest, I believe Chris Nolan could make a killer Bond film. Of course, as long as both his brother and he stay away from writing duties.
It doesn't work as complete reboot otherwise the car in Skyfall wouldn' exist (or at least not have any real meaning).

Won it in CR, had it retrofitted for left hand drive and weapons added. Boom. Done.

Yeah but that's not how it was implied in the film, and it's certainly not what a lot of the audience took away from it.
And thank god he'll never do one, he's all wrong for it.
Nolan will never do a Bond. Nolan gets total creative control at WB. When you work for EON, you have 0 creative control.

That's what makes it a joke.
Just the fact that Casino Royale is set in the present makes it decidedly not a prequel to the earlier Bonds.
Yeah I got that, but Continuity hasn't been much of a thing for bond films for a long time, I mean Judi dench Played as M in supposedly two entirely different time periods, and the films themselves have been fairly careful in not directly remaking themselves.
Dench's M also has two different names across both movies.

More fan service crap again.
That doesn't mean those other films didn't happen in the Craig Bond universe (the premise of the Goldeneye 007 game for Wii and 007 Legends).
official synopsis:
A cryptic message from Bonds past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
Why does Craig get to come out to the Bond theme at the cast reveal but Batista doesn't get to walk out to his theme?
This is the 24th Bond movie.
If you're put off by the idea of "fan-service" your train left about 30 years ago.

More fan service crap again. Nothing new. Recycled. Just like Skyfall.
Why is Sam Mendes allow to direct a 007 movie again?! I know Martin Campbell did Casino Royale and Goldeneye but there are way better British directors than Mendes.
