The first was such a missed opportunity so I'm not exactly sad to see this one go. It deserved a lot better and would have made a far better series on HBO or something.

This was super obvious when it wasn't in production by summer of last year lol.

First one was pretty lame, and the book deserves better. Can't lie though, if Fincher came on board I'd get hyped.

Trash? I'm fine with people not liking it but saying it was trash is just... well mean!

That plane sequence is one of the most bizarrely dumb set-pieces I'd seen in the movie in the last 5 years. And not in a "HAHA OH MAN DID YOU SEE THAT?!" kind of dumb. It was just horribly put together.

Is paramount just gonna die?

Paramount had an awful 2016 outside of a few exceptions like 10 Cloverfield Lane and Arrival. Ben-Hur, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Star Trek Beyond (was a flop), Zoolander 2...

And their 2017 outlook is looking like this.... Monster Trucks, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Rings. I guess they do have Ghost in the Shell.

As much as I hate to say this, Transformers is probably going to bail them out with the money it is going to make in the Chinese market (again, probably), and It will be a temporary bandage .

Their outlook isn't looking very good right now and they are starting to close down productions on movies that look like they will under perform from their point of view.

I know what kind of movie it was when the genius guy falls over and shoots himself

WTF WWZ was complete trash. (I know people have diff taste but cmon!)

Good news they wont make another. Its like the prequel to "The Mummy" reboot. Just trash movies.

Apparently that got added on last minute?

I fuckin died laughing at that
Trips, falls, takes a bullet right in the brain pan, dumb ass

I can't speak with a true opinion on this, as any bitterness I have with World War Z I have is purely based on it not being true to the book. I just think that it would have been better as an episodic show.

Although how viable would this have been with the short stories usually having different people

The funny part about Friday the 13th is if they move it, is they lose the date.

I don't see the reason to make the movie anymore haha.

I think their problem is trying to keep Brad Pitt tied to it. Make a spiritual sequel and call it World War X, and have it be someone else's experience during the same timeframe.

First one had fun moments but was generally a great squandering of great source material only rivaled, to my knowledge, by Ridley Scott's Robin Hood.

It deserves no sequel. I still want to see Ton Cruise missile fight the mummy tho

That name makes literally no sense. At least World War Z is a logical name, if you're going to rename it or do a alt-timeline "sequel" you might as well just name it World War Z: <Subtitle>. I can't think of one because I think telling it from another perspective would be silly since they covered the entire globe in the first and were the ones who found a "cure". An alternative perspective would just be someone losing all their friends and family for no real reason.
