Breaking: Spore for iPhone revealed

One the most original (and my favorite) could certainly be done on the iPhone

Kirby Canvas Curse :lol

Not really, tapping kirby would be OK but you couldn't really draw the paths with just your finger (Try it for yourself, it technically works but it isn't exactly comfortable)

As for graphics power the iPhone is way more powerful than the DS but not quite as powerful as the PSP (Probably about 1/2 to 2/3 of the graphical capability) That being said it has far more raw CPU power than either which means that it can handle Internet applications far better than the PSP (PSP has a better GPU though)

Someone should just port a Guitar Hero style game to the iPhone which uses the music stored on it. You can customize your own tracks and off you go!

I pulled this from a thread on MacRumors.com forums:

....... iPhone ............ PSP
=== ======= ===========================
cpu.... 400MHz .... 222-333MHz (depends on programmer)
lcd .... 480x320 .... 480x272
mem.. 8GB ......... 32MB
ram ....128MB ....... 4MB
gpu.... none? ....... hardware accel

iPhone is actually 620mhz and has a PowerVR MBX 3d Graphics Accelerator. Just to put the GPU in perspective, the PowerVR chip is most famously used in the Dreamcast. The MBX is a newer generation, and faster, than what was used in the Dreamcast.

How powerful is iPhone compared to PSP & DS?

Apparently the graphics are MBX-Lite. I don't know what that means in the end as far as capabilities. But, to run Core Animation, it has to have some graphics muscle at work, just as in the full OS X. [and from what I understand, the OS on the iPhone/Touch is very near a full version of OS X.] Core Animation is specifically designed to do the cool system level graphic effects, and not eat battery.

The Core graphics technology built into Mac OS X in this case is a great benefit to the iPhone/Touch's games potential.
