Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Thread | PS4 Weekend

Umm...first game not impressed. Think this might be the first CoD I skip out on. I've had doubts about this for a while and it plays just as expected. Think TF2 and BF are going to be my primary shooters this year.

I can get into a lobby, but once the game loads I either lose connection to the server, or no one spawns in and we just kind of have to wait for the game to end since I can't get to the menu.

So whats everyone's impressions? I've watched a couple of matches and tbh it looks pretty boring. Idk maybe the variety in playstyle BF1 affords has spoiled me.

If only I didnt have to buy IW to get COD4

I'm glazed over for sure. Very meh. Would cancel preorder immediately if it wasn't for remaster.

I feel you don't to get to complain when you are buying it to be screwed over.

Yeah I finally got in and it feels worse than black ops 3
sluggish and the maps are meh at best

welp. It does feel like ghosts lol

Ghosts was actually very responsive and felt good to play (it had the best netcode since mw2,i think) but it was just dull and the maps were very flat and lacked variety.

This carries on that "legacy".

After playing a few rounds, i think the multiplayer is not for me.
I don't want to say it's bad or something, but i don't feel the flow here. The mobility and wall runs feel strange to me.

I did not played black ops 3, but i liked the controls and feel in Advanced Warfare with the nice dash mechanic. Maybe i need to play more first, but it did not click in the first few rounds.

This plays super bad so far. I am judging it a little too quickly, but it just does not feel nearly as good as BF 1, Titanfall 2, or Destiny. This game feels legit whack.

This looks worse than Blops 3.

Why has it got a horrible grainy filter?

Apart from that it plays fine, the movement is pretty much the same as last year's game.

First impression

It feels like fucking Ghosts, where I have to put at least half a clip into an enemy to kill them, but I seem to go down in a shot or two.

The game is actually good, it seems to pull back from black ops regarding mobility. It feels more weighty and I'm assuming it's due to the space theme. Its too soon to say if I actually like it or not but first impressions is decent

Finally got into my first game after trying for the past 5 hours.

Initial impressions...(3 games played from a CoD fan who has "enjoyed" every game since MW4, except Ghosts, which was obviously complete garbage.)

I think people might need to start qualifying themselves as to their Cod "fandom" because this already looks like the typical GAF "CoD hate" hivemind is at work...

So again, I have played 3 games, but there is nothing radically different about the game. I am actually pleasantly surprised, because the early impressions in this thread made it sound like a shit show. The graphics look pretty decent to me (I AM playing on remote play on my Mac at 540p, but they are by no means bad.) As someone else said, hit detection seems great. The gunfire "feels" really good. The combination of hit detection/hit marker feedback makes it obvious when you hit someone with a bullet (even more so than BO3, in my opinion.) TTK does seem a tad low, but I would be shocked if they don't tweak that by launch, if not by next weekend. The booster stuff is basically BO3, with a little less float. Wall running seems on par with BO3 as well. Maybe my opinion will change the more I play, but this is just typical CoD.

I say all this not to rile up people in this thread. I just want genuine CoD fans who typically get decent enjoyment out of the games to know that this is pretty much more of the same, which is really what we have come to expect as of late. Every year in these threads you seem to have to CoD haters (probably many of which have grabbed Beta codes the past 2 years not really intending to buy the game anyway and then shit all over it.) Yeah the game is getting convoluted and repetitive, but if you like the CoD style game, that is what you are getting here. This is by no means another Ghosts, which is the biggest relief for me.

I liked MW but not enough to shell out 60 for a remaster or IW, a game I wont play. If MW was standalone at 40 then i'd be all over it.

My b thought you were buying into that crap.

So i'm not really paying attention how do you use that special weapon you hold?

First thing I'm going to do is play MW multiplayer for about 3 hours or longer then jump onto IW campaign which looks good. When I beat it then try out zombies in space and then back to MW. This multiplayer is just not for me.

I haven't played a cod in a while but I really like it. Probably not gonna get it because Titanfall 2 does a lot of similar things and also has mechs.

I don't really get how I'm suppose to play games with movement like this game on a standard controller. Your air mobility requires holding X, your ground mobility requires holding circle, but by doing so I can't aim anymore because my thumb is on the stick. It's just really awkward to play.

PS4 really needs an official "elite controller" with paddles. For games with movement like BO3, IW, Titanfall, etc, it really makes a world of difference. Playing with KB/M like I usually do isn't really an option either because COD is dead on PC, unfortunately.

FYI, if you are still having trouble finding a match, try Domination if you have not. I have not been able to get in a TDM game, but I am finding Dom games after a minute or 2.

This game is ass. 'Rigs' are carbon copies of Specialists but much worse. Level 7 and the guns so far all lifted from previous Modern Warfare games just renamed.

Ok, after being able to get into a few more rounds, I'm not feeling this COD at all. It just feels bland and dull to me. And there seems to be a certain lifelessness to it, if you will, IMO.
