Finally got into my first game after trying for the past 5 hours.
Initial impressions...(3 games played from a CoD fan who has "enjoyed" every game since MW4, except Ghosts, which was obviously complete garbage.)
I think people might need to start qualifying themselves as to their Cod "fandom" because this already looks like the typical GAF "CoD hate" hivemind is at work...
So again, I have played 3 games, but there is nothing radically different about the game. I am actually pleasantly surprised, because the early impressions in this thread made it sound like a shit show. The graphics look pretty decent to me (I AM playing on remote play on my Mac at 540p, but they are by no means bad.) As someone else said, hit detection seems great. The gunfire "feels" really good. The combination of hit detection/hit marker feedback makes it obvious when you hit someone with a bullet (even more so than BO3, in my opinion.) TTK does seem a tad low, but I would be shocked if they don't tweak that by launch, if not by next weekend. The booster stuff is basically BO3, with a little less float. Wall running seems on par with BO3 as well. Maybe my opinion will change the more I play, but this is just typical CoD.
I say all this not to rile up people in this thread. I just want genuine CoD fans who typically get decent enjoyment out of the games to know that this is pretty much more of the same, which is really what we have come to expect as of late. Every year in these threads you seem to have to CoD haters (probably many of which have grabbed Beta codes the past 2 years not really intending to buy the game anyway and then shit all over it.) Yeah the game is getting convoluted and repetitive, but if you like the CoD style game, that is what you are getting here. This is by no means another Ghosts, which is the biggest relief for me.
