Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Thread | PS4 Weekend

It's only 3 maps so well see at launch but other then the jumps here and there yea. The maps weren't built well for that wall running shit. Like I said it's like someone added it to check off a list of thing that looked good but not really needed
Nice, nice.
It's definitely more grounded at the moment. There are wall run spots.....but you don't need to jump for the most part to get to most places. You will see people on top of objects but you are really exposed when doing so. A lot of indoor areas to fuck people over with ;). Test it yourself etta come Xbox one beta

Boost sliding is still there.....but the folks jumping like idiots will be the first ones to drop by most players
Yea it's gonna suck to wait for next weekend but oh well. This sounds great.

How does this compare to the Titanfall 2 beta? I hate how seemingly useless the parkour is because most of all the maps are small rooms.

I'm actually liking it much better then Black Ops 3 so far.

In all honesty, this actual feels much more similar to the Modern Warfare games. It's not all about sprinting and moving fast all the time like in AW and BO3. Sometimes the best approach is to hold down a position and listen for enemy movement.

Played about 3-4 matches on each map. My thoughts so far.

Throwback is an amazing map. Frost is pretty decent except it has bad spawns. Frontier is flat out garbage, just trash, shouldn't have made the cut, the layout is so horrible and all over the place, can't believe someone got paid to do this shit, lol.

The movement feels nice but also feels like the full on parkour elements don't need to be here, at least for these maps, the wall running seems useless, balance feels pretty good, TTK is a little low for my liking but will adjust.

The RIGS are pretty meh. I wasn't a fan of them in blops 3, and they are less inspired here.

Visually I think it's alright, I don't know why people are saying it looks much worse than blops3, it doesn't. But it looks a lot worse than AW which is the best looking COD to date.

Overall, it's not bad. We'll see how the full game plays. Can't be worse than Ghosts right? lol

This game feels kind of dated, but not in a bad way. It feels more like old COD games, pre AW. With the new movement system. Which isn't a bad thing.

Fuck this game is so trash I like ghost better then this shit. And I actually liked ghost too.

Advancedwarefare is wayyyy better than this game.

Hopefully the story isn't bad

The movement doesn't give you any advantage anymore, it's slow, this is a boots on the ground call of Duty tbh, you will be better not using it unlike past games.

The gameplay is amazing, 60fps rock solid, great graphics damn!

Not digging the map design, I prefer simple 3 lane maps instead of having other people always shooting me in the back.

Also the hit marker sound could be better.

Anybody having problems getting into matches in team death match?. It's taken me up to 5 maybe more minutes to get into a match

Lol in the highest TTK modern cod, Black Ops 1, the mp5k could kill in two bullets

I feel like people are straining for things to complain about.

Pretty much. People need to actually check the number stats. MW2 guns have some of the fastest TTK in the series, especially with Stopping Power. It just doesn't feel that way cause the hit detection/lag is garbage when compared to Ghosts.

Seriously am i just missing it how do you use killstreaks?

I guess they are scorestreaks now.

Right on d-pad, up/down to select a different scorestreak if you have multiple available.

I'm not really feeling much love for IW after 2 hours. I really do enjoy black ops 3, casually, hit rank 4 prestige or so but kinda stopped playing after Overwatch although I still pop in every now and then. BO3 feels smooth and you can shift from one "move" to another nicely, and you have a good sense of whats going on around you.

It didn't feel smooth at all in IW, although it felt very similar to BO3 but just not... as good. I dunno, maybe I just don't know the maps or something and it'll get better once I do. The class visuals / powers / descriptions also looked extremely weak compared to BO3.

By contrast I loved every second I was in battlefield 1, even though I was dying non stop in both. So far first impressions are BF1 is amazing, IW is a step below everything else. I am not cancelling or anything, gonna enjoy the SP campaign, MW4, and try to fit in some multiplayer but expectations heavily lowered at this point.

I thought the same until I watched pwnstarz.

Top level skill still looks like black ops 3.

Finally got a few matches in. This beta is truly miserable. Maps aren't great, mostly just corridors that are hard to distinguish and not really suited to the movement system. Movement is the same as Black Ops 3, making it feel like an add-on for that game. Weapons feel uninspired, just "future-er" versions of previous ones. Graphics also look much, much worse than previous COD games this gen. Advanced Warfare still looks the best.

From a purely graphics point of view based on the beta this is not a pretty game. The map with the ice looks like a last gen game to me and the art style of the map with a train or tunnel or whatever is downright ugly. Ghosts was a nice looking game so this has been disappointing.

Oh and the floating bodies in the space map. Who thought that was a good idea?

I don't think it's as bad as a lot of people think it is but this definitely feels the weakest of the three real current-gen COD's. I'd say BO3 is still the best, followed by AW, and then this lagging hard behind AW. BO3 is a hard follow-up, at least for me personally. It just felt like the most balanced COD game in a while (which I'd imagine is not a thing most people want out of this series lol) and the most well polished of bunch.

Wanted to give IW a chance - the true Sci-Fi setting could have actually grounded the game (like Halo or Star Wars). After an hour I can see it's the same stale, focus group driven mediocrity they've been putting out for years.

Meh:

Out for a bit, but will be back soon

If anyone would like to have a gaf group, then please add me.

Could be lots of fun

Trying to connect with downloading an update. Am I the only one?

I managed to DL the update but haven't been able to connect since I did.

You're already on my FL. Think I'm going to go play VR or something for a bit. Invite me when you get back and we'll see if I can actually connect to a match.

TTK feels INSANELY low and everyone is jumping around corners due to it. Frontier and Throwback have awful spawns and feel way too small...really negative for menso far.

I know the TTK needs to be adjust, but what the fuck is up with the health regeneration. I feel like I'm playing Hardcore TDM, not regular.

I'm getting MAULED in this game. What the hell. It's like there's only pros around. I remember cleaning house in the BO3 beta.

I played a few games, im really not feeling it. It seems really bad. Im going to play it al weekend but it is MWR 1-0 so far..

This is because there isn't one universal CoD engine like Frostbite. They share same tech of course but specifically there are 3 diffrent engine and three different netcode.Currently Advanced Warfare's engine is technically most "Advanced" and MWR using exactly that engine.IW on the other hand using Ghosts engine which at it's very core MW3's engine.Treyarch to me has the most outdated engine but i don't have the most common opinion. They're covering this with oversaturation and it looks like most people likes it.

Ok, I'm done. I'm not getting this game or MW Remastered. It's a Frankenstein's monster of grounded maps with vertical movement and parkour that just doesn't mix.

To whoever gave me a beta code, thank you very much, I still appreciate it.

I'm not sure what is up with all the graphics hate, it looks really nice if you ask me!

The maps are very small and less reliant on wall-running then they are in BLOPS3. Some people will see that as a positive some as a negative.

So far my only REAL complaint is that the "hit the target" feedback sound and vibration needs to be turned WAY up. I can barely even tell when I hit my target.

People like the treyarch engine because it gives a clean look. There's no dust or haze to ruin your aim or distort your view at a target. Things don't just blend together. They stand out.

Yeah, not playing this. Don't like it at all. The announcer is so goddamn annoying, constantly droning in your ears. The sound quality is a joke aswell.

I'm even questioning getting it for MWR. It is a lot of cash.
