Everyone used the Intervention and tried 360 quick scopes. Totally weird..
yea I play a lot sabotage and very rarely run into tubers and 360 interventions. there are a lot of ump/runners but that doesn't bother me nearly as much

Just finished the campaign for the first time...it was good, I guess. Just more of the same from COD4. Dissapointing, I guess. COD4 had my favorite MP ever, so hopefully I can dig into this one. I'm not a super MULTIPLAYER COMPETITION BALANCE guy, I can dig it as long as it's fun and satisfying.

I personally think Spec Ops mode was the biggest improvement over Modern Warfare 1.

And I quite liked the single-player campaign. Sure, it's totally linear and just one scripted scene after another but some of them are really awesome scripted scenes.

I guess if you're in a lobby with a bunch of people below 29. Anyone not using Ninja Pro deserves to be killed.

I prefer SitRep Pro. Though if I do see someone with a HBS in the killcam (Most of the time I can tell when someone has a heartbeat sensor before I even see it), I usually switch to a stealth class.

HBS in FFA is glitched, using Ninja doesn't help.

If you're the same faction as the HBS user, you'll show up even if you use Ninja because the game thinks you're on the same team.

Can someone refresh my memory:

When you are at level 70 and don't prestige you won't play against prestiged players most of the time, right?
It's random, I have always been level 70 and I play mostly against prestiged players.

Matchmaking just randomly matches people together, no matter what level people are.

ppfft by the time they hear the beep, look at the sensor, figure out where i'm coming from it's too fucking late.

Despite the glitch, Ninja pro in ffa is pretty much the must have perk or you'll get soundwhored to shit.

I think the matchmaking works primarily on KD. At least, I've not had 'noobs' in my lobbies for ages.

The people who are still playing the game are mostly prestige now so there's a pretty good chance all the games will have prestige people in them, as said its just random.

same. Also has anyone gotten the 8-bit prince emblem in barebones. Or do you actually have to unequip all killstreaks, regardless of whether they're enabled.

I would unequip them just to be on the safe side.

Supposedly, there is no bearing on the matchmaking on what level you are, but rather the "hidden" skill rating that nobody knows. At least thats how I know how the matchmaking works in the 360 version.

So I came back to this game 3 days ago after being absent from it for a good 4 months, 8th prestige, first thing I did was unlock the nuke killstreak. Never really bothered with the nuke before (I think I had 9 nukes total up to this point), I thought it was impossible for me to get the 10 nukes in one prestige. But the first game I play with it equiped, I get it. Within the same hour, I get 2 more.

3 days later, 10 nukes later, I got my title. :D Now I can breath easily and never have to use the nuke again and just do the 5-7-9 combination.

1000 kills with precision, harrier, and stealths. :D

Edited for size :D

How annoying was it? I did the 1,000 UAV/Counter-UAV during one prestige and that wasn't very fun. Not looking forward to the others.

I don't know how people stay alive long enough for nukes. I think my longest kill streak was 14. What gametype are you playing (FFA, Team Deathmatch, etc)? Doesn't help that I'm not the most patient person in the world as well when it comes to online games.

Very annoying. I play with pretty good players, and since they all want to go for high killstreaks, most of us never have uav equipped. As a result of that, precision airstrikes and stealth bombers are more about excellent timing and luck. Harriers, for this challenge, are fool's gold as only the kills in the initial air strike count towards your goal. So if you send in harriers and they get you tons of kills, remember that only the AS kills count. :p

But it was well worth it... I've been 10th prestige for a LONG time now, so new emblems/callsigns, especially rare/unique ones are awesome. I'm going for the 1000 armed chopper kills. I've already done the counter/uav one, too. :D

It takes a few things:

1) Thorough knowledge of the map. You have to know where people will be coming from and know the best spots to cover those routes.

2) A good sense of spawn locations (both teams)

3) Patience. If I come out of my Chopper Gunner at 22 kills, you bet your ass I am planting myself behind cover for the rest of the game, if I can.

4) A quick trigger finger.

and sometimes (and maybe most importantly)

5) Luck.

I have 6 nukes. For 5 of them what I did was camp in the barn thing in Scrapyard during a demolition game. I just noobtubed people who tried to plant B. Eventually I get a Chopper Gunner and then usually I get a Nuke with that. One time I somehow got a nuke from just running around.

That's the thing I love about One Man Army. I run around with my standard class until I get my Harrier. Then I switch to my Danger Close Pro class, and play I bit safer. Let my Chopper Gunner do work, and if I still don't have the nuke, I switch to my stealth class until I die or hear those magical words, "Tactical nuke ready." I usually don't turn the key until I die or my team hits 70 kills, which ever comes first.

I've gotten 16 Nukes, all in FFA with Harrier > Pave Low > Nuke. In FFA the Pave Low is just way better than one of the 11s, since everyone is spread out and you can continue killing people seeking shelter in buildings while the Pave Low does its work. If no one shoots down either of the first two you can generally be at 18-22 by the time the Pave Low leaves.

I have 65 nukes to my name at last count. I've nuked all game modes except sabotage/ctf/s&d. The first two simply because I don't care to play those, and the latter for obvious reasons.

My most efficient nuke loadout:
Tar-21 w/silencer
Scavenger
Stopping Power
Ninja

(All pro of course)

Killstreaks:
Harrier
AC130
Nuke

I used to run chopper gunner only for about my first twenty nukes, but I got sick of being restricted by silly obstructions half the time and painkiller using foes most of the time. AC130 main and secondary cannons are guaranteed kills even with pk on.

What I also like doing once in a while is playing it slow and safe during the first round of a demolition match and working up to a harrier. Once that is done, I play really, really defensive until the round is over. Between rounds I choose my danger close pro class so that my AC/CG does much more damage, then just go to work right as everyone spawns. The AC pretty much guarantees a multikill on most maps.

On a different note, my best match without getting a nuke was 97-25 on Scrapyard (Demo). That was with the ump45 (silencer/marathon/sp/ninja). I've also gotten two nukes in one match on scrapyard twice and favela once. Needless to say, I really want Black Ops already, as I'm getting sick of the maps, guns, etc.

Dark-Cloudz said:
How are you counting your nukes?

I probably have about 40-50, but there's no counter.
I just wrote down all the maps once and basically have kept a tally sheet. The only map that I haven't nuked is Crash because I don't get to play it much since a few of my regular party members don't have the map packs, plus its so easy for the enemy team to run into a building immediately after spawning.

For most of the nukes I got, I did SCAR-H with FMJ. Very loud and powerful. Perks were:
Scavenger Pro (You will run out of ammo without this)
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

Seriously, all you need is 2 of the SCAR bullets and you're enemy is dead. It's so easy to grab kills and win encounters even if they start shooting first. SCAR-H, just like most guns, is also amazing at long range. (For example on Highrise, it's so much fun shooting and actually killing the sniping spawn killers with my iron sights SCAR. You know.. that little opening that everyone snipes through in the beginning of the game..)

This loadout is my personal favorite and works for me because unlike others who are stealthy using ninja or silencers, I prefer running out to the middle of everything and get the 7 kills quick. I might die a lot and fail most of the times, but hey, it works from time to time. Get the harrier and cautiously wait for it to rack up kills. (One tip I have is to wait until the harrier is completely done getting kills before putting your chopper gunner. Also, if there is enough time, you can postpone the chopper gunner a little longer to make the 'IM GOING FOR THE NUKE' a little less obvious and have a less of a chance of getting your chopper destroyed.)

My second favorite class is the UMP silenced, with marathon, stopping power, and steady aim. Also rush with this class, DEADLY up close, larger clip, but hard to get enemies running from a long distance (unlike SCAR).

I don't see the appeal of nukes... I prefer getting higher killstreaks than getting a nuke! It's more satisfying to beat my killstreak record.

Thank you IW for putting CTF back in! :D I'm happy now :D

Yeah. The only time me and my friend do that is to bust up boosters. Other than that though we love to kill each other. They really need to make it so FFA kills the join session option and take FFA out of Barebones Pro.

I definitely agree. Getting a nuke is very satisfying, but getting a massive score is more satisfying!

I just had the perfect example:
45028_1569280913582_1282239271_1588383_6491584_n.jpg

Had I nuked that match instead, I would've scored like 40-1 instead of 124-15. :D The match was a hell of a lot of fun - I was running around on Salvage with a silenced Mini-Uzi and M1014 and not only did I score 3 Chopper Gunners (one of which was a "true" 11 streak - I didn't launch anything to get the CG), but I managed to jack like 3 care packages with an attack heli, an extra pred and a sentry. I basically had some form of killstreak up and running throughout the entire match. :lol
