Rooster Teeth podcast is amazing.
Idle Thumbs is the only podcast I will recommend. It is the pinnacle of gaming podcasts.Idle Thumbs is heads and shoulders above all others. Make sure you listen from episode 1. They are all timeless.
Giant Bomb is rubbish.
Look to the CAGCast (Cheapassgamers.com) or Gamers with Jobs (gamerswithjobs.com)
for the very finest in informative AND entertaining discourse.
The only two podcast that I listen on a regular basis are the Bombcast and Idle Thumbs, and the main reason I listen to them is because they don't talk about games 100% of the time. That was what made GFW "The Brodeo" the finest gaming podcast ever recorded. These podcasts are more about the culture that surrounds gaming, and having a good time.
I'll never understand the love for Giant Bombcast. Just too much rambling and never find much funny about it, but I love Vinny![]()
I'd still be listening to GWF Radio if it was still around. :/ It's been dead since 2008 though.97.5 The Brodeo
What type of games does Idle Thumbs talk about? I may subscribe.
The real-life pants shitting adventures of CheapyD is the equal of anything from Gertsmann.CheapyD and Wobmat will never come close to the brilliance of Jeff Gerstman once he gets going.

I'll pass then. Not a huge pc gamer, aside from Counter-Strike.a lot of pc indie stuff these days. but the selection is pretty random, apart from far cry 2

I hadn't listened to them in a while, still going strong?Shameless Squadron of Shame pimp.

I can't stand when Brad, from Giantbomb, talks Starcraft 2. I'm sure it's a good game, but it's not my thing.
Does it bother anyone else that Jeff pretty much hates everything? I think that's the reason I stopped listening to that one as often, most of those guys are so cynical about video games. Their non-game talk is priceless though.
Red Sun Gamer doesn't get enough love for a podcast primarily based on GAF.
I tried the first few episodes and gave up when I realized they are just release sniping stuff that will be out in the US within a few weeks / months.
I want to hear about import titles that are cool and not destined for localization.
Oh well.
Cruncheons is the only gaming podcast I listen to. Keep taking it to them guys!![]()
lol. They're completely dismissive of the Vita which means no discussion about vita games but I think people need to not get so ruffled when their opinion isn't mirrored. Also I think some of the hate for Brad is from people who just don't want to hear about PC games and act like it's an insult to talk about them.
Given the sheer amount of games that get released globally nowadays (compared to, say, the PS1 days when the phenomenon of the "import gem" was in full force), isn't this pool pretty damn small? Surely the majority of Japanese games that don't get internationally released are the ones in the JP box art thread covered with anime schoolgirls.

The Moofcast *shameless self-promotion, etc*
