While the game's future is uncertain, I do have some thoughts about the title.
The four D alliterations feel a bit forced, but I suspect that has a point. The game makes you pay attention to every D in the game, but I think Swery has got some sneaky shenanigans going on there.
The reason why you look for Ds is because Little Peggy told you to "look for D". Simple enough, but I suspect Peggy actually said or meant "look 4D". The game is pretty much about investigating four-dimensionally if you assume the fourth dimension in spacetime is a location in time. You use mementos to travel to the past and uncover what took place. Either way if accurate, then that would explain why they insisted on the forced alliteration that doesn't really seem to relate to the game itself.
Dog Eat Dog? I thought it was a pretty apt name.Canis Canem Edit

But it's a game where a major plot point is a horrible disease, the name makes sense. Also how is the name Bloodborne edgy.Dark Souls and Bloodborne
real edgy
Yeah I liked it. Better than Bully.Dog Eat Dog? I thought it was a pretty apt name.
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse
Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra
Couldn't get any more pretentious if they tried.
The Last of Us is pretty stupid.
Beyond:Two Souls
Mass Effect

These as just titles that speaks to one's imagination.
The Last of Us is pretty stupid.
Beyond:Two Souls
Mass Effect
Is the game title "Beyond Good and Evil" pretentious too?
I hate games with one single English word as title. The other day I learnt about a GAFfer made JRPG with prerendered background called Stasis. Had to use different terms on Google for several minutes before landing on its site.I submit Dark, the world's most annoying game to Google.

1 on 3 matte, try again.
The Last of Us is a GREAT title. It works great because it's about post apo world and you see only two characters on the cover. It works great because of the intro. It works great because of the game story and it works again brilliantly in the ending. It's a multi layered titles that is both meaningful, iconic and on par with the themes of the game all along as it unfolds.
Mass Effect is litteraly, the name of the technology at the core of ME's space exploration and golden space age. Also, it's a kick ass name and works as an unendo for the effects of decisions you take in the game.
But yeah, Beyond : Two Souls is a crappy name
oh wowHa ha! Time for Falcom:

Dinosaur is actually the name of the final boss, not that you (were) are supposed to know when starting the game. The game's a first-person story dungeon crawler with some creepiness to it, but nothing that brings "Dinosaur" or anything prehistoric to mind. It's like calling Ys I "Dark Fact or, I dunno, Asteka Xanadu maybe.
Can someone explain the meaning of this title? My English is not enough to understand this one.
I like that name, it has a nice ring to it. But I can't really think of why it would fit the game well to be honest. I do not recall any moral ambiguity or anything like that. Just Good and Evil would be more accurate (which sounds terrible).
And I do not like how many Nintendo 64 titles just had "64" in the title. It happens/happened on other platforms as well, but I feel the N64 had way too many games that did this.
Killzone.
Its the name you give a fake video game in a TV show.

I was joking about "Jenseits von Gut und Böse" since Beyond Good and Evil is just the english of saying it.
Beyond Good and Evil is not actually about moral ambiguity, at least directly, but rather an examination of what people consider good and bad (morality systems) and how "evil" has taken the place of bad in many of these systems. In a sense, it is beyond good and evil ("immoral"), but it is not beyond good and bad (amoral). That's the simplest way of putting it anyway lol.
I haven't played much of either game/series, but I heard Xenosaga at least plays around with Nietzsche's philosophy whereas the other doesn't at all. And pretty much all of his titles have a nice ring to them, I don't really blame people for taking the titles.

I always found FIFA 64 to be especially hilarious. You had FIFA 94, 95, 96... then all of a sudden 64.
Elite Dangerous
Weird. It's in German.

How so? You can't just tack together two adjectives and call it a day. This is a fantastic title.
PSA: For anyone who might not understand why this name is a problem , DO NOT Google without the saftey search on... better yet just take the posters word for it you'll probably live a happier life for it.This was the best you could do Natsume? No one saw any problem with this?

Destiny annoys me. It sounds more like the project name than any sort of real title. Also because I have no idea what "destiny" means within the context of the story or whatever. I'm guessing I missed something along the way.
Yeah. When it was codenames project destiny I thought it was fine. But I don't even see how destiny fits in the game. Every video game protag is destined to be the hero of the game.Destiny annoys me. The Legend of Legacy currently annoys me

I'm going to take a lot of flack for this, but "Let Us Cling Togeather" is an awful subtitle.
