Can we talk about how insane 2015 is going to be for gaming?

A lot of games looking fantastic in 2015 thats for sure. The Tomorrow Children, Rime, No Mans Sky, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, The Order, The Witness, Alienation, MGSV, Hotline Miami 2, etc. etc.

Quality looking stuff throughout 2015. For the PS4 even the beginning of the year and the first half of the year looks fantastic. If Gamescom is anything to go by we will have Rime and The Tomorrow Children and The Witness in the first half of the year.

Hopefully TTC releases sort of on its own because that game is going to be addictive as hell and will suck my time away completely.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - it will probably be great, hope it's not too buggy at release.
Bloodborne - Combat looks great, setting is nice too but it's a console exclusive and 30fps so I have no interest in ever playing it.
The Order: 1886 - will end up as a glorified tech demo, devs insulting our intelligence with their stupid PR concerning resolution and framerate, a lot of people will be disappointed
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - game looks great, might actually go to a friends house to play it.
The Legend of Zelda Wii U - I'm seriously considering getting a WiiU for this.
Halo 5: Guardian - never getting a xbone so yeah.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Will probably be my 2015 GOTY, nothing that comes out 2015 compares.
Xenoblade Chronicles X - I am currently playing the first one, might get this if a I get a WiiU
Batman: Arkham Knight - The recent gameplay videos looks pretty bad to me tbh, idk if it was the graphics looking nothing like what I expected or maybe i'm just not a fan of the batmobile BS they introduced, will play it but I have zero expectations.
Persona 5 - dislike the social link stuff so I skip persona games.
No Man's Sky - I can't wait to see if this thing actually justifies all the hype it's getting.
Tom Clancy's The Division - is this even coming out in 2015? Got a lot of friends who want to play together, hope it's not another Destiny.
Star Wars: Battlefront - this might end up great, have high hopes.
Rainbow Six: Siege - fuck this game, still salty about Patriots.
Just Cause 3 - I heard they removed the f2p stuff? If so I hope it's as fun as 2.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - looks pretty damn horrible thank god for REmake.
Quantum Break - will wait for the inevitable PC release.
Yoshi's Wooly World - idk anything about this game
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - idk anything about this game
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - not for me.
Tearaway Unfolded - console game so no.
Ratchet and Clank Redux - console game so no.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin - buying on PC
Star Fox Wii U - never got into the series.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - don't have a 3ds
Resident Evil REmake HD - Day 1 baby
Severed - idk what this is
The Tomorrow Children - console game so no
Rime - console game so no
Everybody's Gone to Rapture - console game so no
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - day 1
Firewatch - idk what this is
Overwatch - might give it a try
Star Craft II: Legacy of the Void - buying for the cheesy campaign but SC2 is pretty much dead if Blizz doesn't pull some f2p skin thingy and level up system for multiplayer
Pillars of Eternity - day 1
Assassin's Creed: Victory - if it's anything like Unity at release then it's not worth my time
Yakuza 5 - might actually pick it up, who knows
Mortal Kombat X - never got into the new MK's
Tales of Zestiria - day 1
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD - would buy if I had a PS4 but am never gonna get it so whatever
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae - this does not deserve to be on the list as it's a demo
Codename S.T.E.A.M - not interested
Splatoon - not interested
Rise of the Tomb Raider - whenever it releases for PC sure
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Heavensward - no reason to play this since GW2 exists
Dying Light - gonna give it a try unless it's a buggy mess
Dead Island 2 - no
DmC: Definitive Edition - already own it, it's called the PC version
Devil May Cry 4: Vergil Special Edition - Better come to PC
Grim Fandango HD - whenever it comes to PC sure
Day of the Tentacle Special Edition - nah
The Witness - googled, looks nice, will try
Disgaea 5 - hope this works out for them so they don't close, I'm not buying it though
Atelier Shallie - nah

Opinions in bold.

1 year and not only 2 Zeldas but a Metal Gear Numerical release, a Souls game and a Rocksteady Batman title and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.

Fuck me, this coming year is going to be so amazing!

Opinions in bold.

cool, what kind of PC ya got? specs?

btw fyi Half-Life 3 is likely coming out in 2015. if you do all the required math regarding all the hints and rumors up to this point it adds up to 3332 so we just need 1 more to hit 3333. announcement is imminent.

i5 3570k oc-ed at 4.6ghz
16gb ddr3 RAM
gtx 780ti oc-ed with a custom cooler
120gb ssd for OS
2tb 7200rpm HDD
2tb SSHD

Will probably replace the 780ti with whatever comes after the 980.

Also gaming at 2560x1440 with a qnix oc-ed to 120hz.

And boy those opinions are terrible. Ugh.

There are 38 games in the OP that I'm pretty sure I want. God damn it. I sense some difficult decisions about which games to buy in the future.

Jeez, is this what we console fans sound like when discussing PC games? Depressing.

You do realize that I would buy a ps4 this instant if there were more games I was interested in? Buying it for FF15 and Uncharted 4 is just not worth it.

The console game so no opinion just means: not a system seller for me and since I don't have a console I am not interested in it, maybe I should have worded it better but I didn't care enough at the time.

I am 100% serious about my opinons on the order and bloodborne you can call me out on those anytime.

I hear you man, but if you're not interest in ps4's 2015 lineup, I'm curious as to what would make you buy one in an instant...

The system seller concept is alien to me. If a console has enough games I'd like to play, it validates the purchase. So yeah, I don't get it but to each their own.

More exclusives that I know for sure won't end up on PC I guess?

Like I still didn't buy a WiiU and it has games I REALLY want to play but just can't justify buying it so I'm waiting for them to pile up before I buy it eventually.

The system seller concept is alien to me. If a console has enough games I'd like to play, it validates the purchase. So yeah, I don't get it but to each their own.

That's the thing, I don't need a system seller, I need more than 2 games I actually want to play on it before I buy it.

Hell despite all the good major studio releases like Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne and MGSV and whatnot it is the indie and smaller studio releases that are dominating my hype for 2015.

The Tomorrow Children, Rime, No Mans Sky, The Witness, just to name a few of them. So many solid looking / sounding titles hitting on this front throughout the year.

After everything that has happened the last 12 months im holding my hype back as much as I can.
On paper 2014 looked just as strong. But with the amount of possible blockbusters being pushed back and the supposed GOTY contenders like Destiny not living up to expectations i remain sceptical :)

The Legend of Zelda Wii U
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Star Fox Wii U

Mario Maker

Might Buy

Yoshi's Wooly World

Will Look At

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Bloodborne

I think I got a lot of ground covered here. Even if half those games get delayed/suck/disappoint, 2015 can still be an amazing year.

EDIT: Crap, I forgot Mighty No. 9.

Some titles such as The Division and Rainbow Six: Siege I am awaiting long actual gameplay videos of final product to determine as I do not trust Ubisoft one tiniest bit. The Order 1886 I'll most likely pick up on sale for no more than $29.99 because it has no multiplayer.

And some games I feel like they'll become free with PS+ like Rime etc so those will be waited out as there will be too many games to fill out 2015. Assuming everything doesn't get delayed of course.

2014 was a good year, especially for Nintendo, PC and indies.

But it never looked as massive as 2015. Not many years have new games from Kojima, Miyamoto, Miyazaki, Druckmann and Straley, Blow, Lake, Itagaki, as well as a new Witcher, a new Zelda, a Rocksteady Arkham, a new Nintendo IP, a new Halo and a crazy amounts of indies and downloadables.

I mean, yeah, some of it is because a lot of games got pushed back to 2015 (looking at you, Witcher 3 and Batman), but sweet mother Teresa on the hood of a Mercedes-benz, 2015 could be (assuming we don't get more delays) the best year in gaming of the last decade.

Just off the top of my head, here's what we are getting in 2015.
