that awkward moment when we realized Revenge of the Sith may be the most quoted movie of the last 10 years.

as for Avatar

" You will never be one of The People!!!" - screamed Neytiri

What is the significance of the "I see you" line? Was that a badass line, was it a fuck you moment from the blue people?

I haven't seen Avatar so idk just wondering

Its their version of "hello." And yes, its as stupid and pretentious as it sounds.

"When I was little, my father was famous. He was the greatest Samurai in the empire, and he was the Shogun's decapitator. He cut off the heads of 131 lords for the Shogun. It was a bad time for the empire. The Shogun just stayed inside his castle and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by devils, and that he was rotting with evil. The Shogun said the people were not loyal. He said he had a lot of enemies, but he killed more people than that. It was a bad time. Everybody living in fear, but still we were happy. My father would come home to mother, and when he had seen her, he would forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the Shogun, but the Shogun was scared of him. Maybe that was the problem."

Tsu'Tey and Neytiri

Out there beyond that fence every living thing that swims, flies, and squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes.

And that's how you scatter the roaches

Shut your pie hole!

Or what, Ranger Rick, you gonna' shoot me?

I can do that

I want this mission high and tight, I wanna be home for dinner

Watched Avatar 4 times in the cinema and multiple times since it released on Blu-ray. The Colonel is a badass and his lines make me laugh.

Fuck the haters. Avatar <3

I mean to be fair I can't remember the names of characters or specific lines from probably 99 percent of the movies I've watched in my life time. Then again I have trouble remembering song lyrics and peoples names so that might say more about me.

You're on Pandora!
Mah Jake!
I need to take some samples.
I didn't sign up for this shit.
You think you're one of them? Time to wake up.
I see you.
Jake Sooley.

I can probably go on.

can't quote a line from any of the top ten grossing films of all time ww except 'i'm the king of the world'. that's not really a good line. blockbuster films are bombastic visual extravaganzas.

Someone says "I see you" at some point...or perhaps at multiple points in the movie. I think it's a recurring line, or that's what I took away from the movie after only seeing the last 40 minutes or so.

I accept this challenge!

http://www.imdb.com/list/ls053886023/

Gone with the Wind: As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again

Star Wars: Episode IV: These aren't the droids you're looking for

The Sound of Music

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: I'll be right here

Titanic: I want you to draw me like one of you French girls

The Ten Commandments: I've seen it once but don't remember any lines

Jaws: You're gonna need a bigger boat

Doctor Zhivago

The Exorcist: The Power of Christ compels you

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?

All I remember looking at the topic title and thinking real hard, is sadly the marines going "GET SOME" constantly in the movie. And reason being as it was made fun of so many times in the Rifftrax version of the movie. I don't remember anything else till I looked at the other responses some have made here.

I just remember, "I see you." I remember Jake Sully and however you spell blue girls name. That's about it. But then I only saw it once in theaters. It looked good, pretty much everything else was shit.

I see you, and not beacuse it was a line in the movie mind you, if it were only that I would have forgotten, but it is also a song by
our own?
Leona Lewis.

Cue Liquid Swords

Jakesully, Colonel Quaritch.

"What the hell are you doing, Jake?"
"Shock and awe campaign."
"Eywa has heard youuuuuu"
"You can walk like one of her scientist pukes and quack like one, but you report to me. Can you do that for me, son?" "Hell yeah, sir." "Well all right then."

Too bad about some people's memories, though, must be tough.

You act like it's some kind of amazing dialogue and a great ability to actually remember it.
It's shitty and forgettable, like that movie.

Would like to say I had no real issues with the movie, or indeed an axe to grind with the people who are fans of it still

But I genuinely couldn't remember a single line or character when I saw that tweet.

I see you.

Jake, mah Jake.

Theres Grace, Neytiri, Jake, and Quaritch.
The Last Samurai, a movie about Tom Cruise being the last freakin' samurai, was a better rip off of this basic story than Avatar's version of the ripoff. This movie was all 3D hype, nothing more.

"I see you..."

"There's no green there..."

Literally nothing else. Those characters mean nothing to me, hence why it'll take a LOT to get me interested in a sequel.

really? you don't know a star wars quote? or 2 character names?
I find that very hard to believe
and who doesnt know scarlett ohara and rhett butler?
I absolutely get the sentiment of this tweet, it surprises me over and over again that such a forgettable movie like avatar is the most successful one of all time
