I had no idea this existed until today.
Perhaps one of the rarest consoles in existence, the Game Wave was apparently Canada's first and perhaps only game system.
Made by the Mississauga company ZAPiT, it was first released in 2005 and discontinued in 2009. It was a DVD player/game console hybrid.
It didn't do so well, selling only about 70,000 units before it was officially dead.
The game library was very meager. Only 13 games, that seemed to focus on being family friendly.

By 2005, Xbox 360 had already launched and PS3/Wii were due out next year. It has since been forgotten by history.
