When people imply or say "how would he work" or "what would his attacks be" they lack imagination or simply don't want that character, that's fine, but to say he doesn't deserve a spot is undermining one of Capcom's greatest characters EVER. How he "works" would be up to Capcom and they would make him work, look at Spencer, Arthur, and Amaterasu. They all come from completely different genres and they have all been adapted to MvC3 in a pretty cool and convincing way that "works" albeit they have been given tools from their other incarnations and applied so that they work in MvC style.
Now look at Thor, hes a fan favorite and he has been converted to MvC3 and he struggles due to his playstyle and what they development team has given him, based on impressions that have been given to us from his current build of course. Nonetheless it seems bleak for him and I bet he ends up as a character that is played little or not in high level or tournament play. The joke is on him now isn't it?

I merely responded because you said some bullshit of adding "variety" to the cast with another fighting game character as you specified and as I indicated that's not necessary at all. It's just an argument of I want my favorite character in.

I do have to say that people are getting real hyped over their picks but I'm on the side of caution because regardless of what happens not everybody will be satisfied. Honestly looking at all the picks the only characters with some hope to make it as DLC is some version of Megaman or Strider just on realistic thought. We'll see what Capcom brings to the table when it's that time.
I bet if Phoenix Wright gets added everyone is gonna throw a ball. Then when the game comes out everyone is gonna play him, until they realize he is crap , no ones gonna use him a lot and then everyone will start hating on either him or CAPCOM.
Super Skrull instead of the individuals just seems like a lazy excuse. Reed Richards could have a wonderful set of moves as does Sue Storm, even Ben Grimm, but no. I don't really care about Johnny who is the one most people seem to focus on.
I'd love to see both Strider and Jin from MvsC1. I'd like to see a real end boss to like Apocalypse in the xmen vs or Onslaught. I'm hearing it gonna be Galactus, which sound awesome, but I'd like a big Capcom villain too, maybe giant Sigma or something from MegaMan series.

In my mind, if Capcom can make a fighting cactus and a fighting robot housemaid (keeping in mind Classic-series Roll had never been playable in any game besides Mega Man Battle and Chase prior to her inclusion in the Vs. series), then they can probably make a lawyer (who just so happens to be one of their most popular characters of the last decade) into a fighting game character.
Seriously, just look at Roll, and while she hasn't been a very effective character in these fighters, she's still been in MvC, MvC2, and TvC. You cannot convince me they couldn't do the same thing - hopefully better, though - with Phoenix Wright.

Quite a fair bit of assumptions there. And additionally, you really want F4 taking up 4 slots instead of one? I mean.. Really? Am I the only one who hates these fan polls? I am more for seeing unique additions to these games. 
Maybe I will put up some votes, but it just seems a waste....
Maybe someone will take to heart my Shadow Red request.
He can fill in both a sword character(still want Strider) and have Mech specials like Jin!

No not that. I'm not that greedy that I want all four. It would be awesome if the whole 4 could be like one team character, but naaaa that Super Skrull. I just mean if 2 of the biggest FF universe baddies are in there I want at least one mf representation of the family, just ONE!!! damn it all. Wow, never figured Psylocke would have been that popular. Love that Iron Fist and Nico Minoru made the top ten, shame Nova didn't.
On the other hand that's an extremely small sample size and the reason for locking it is kinda lame. The roster is out there for all intents and purposes. Maaaybe 1 or 2 characters might still diverge but I doubt that.

Based on the endings I've seen thus far I would be happy if any of the cameo character made it in as DLC: with the exception of Green Goblin and Mega-Man X specifically almost all my picks were featured.

If Ryu were added to the game I'd imagine his Dragon transformation would be more similar to Dante's Devil Trigger or Arthur's Gold Armor than Phoenix's.John Harker said:
