Capcom meeting about a sequel that will "blow your mind"

The main issue is, is said title still in development? Last I heard, and I may be wrong, development was being made, but it got turned into something else, maybe Dead Rising (I don't know). When was the last time anything concrete concerning this was made known?
Dead Rising started as Shadow of Rome 2.

When MT framework was built several target projects were worked on - An HD megaman was one of these projects...

The only one not to come to fruition thus far is megaman - so it's logical to assume this is the game in question...

and the source? Inafune himself.

links / sources all on this page

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MT_Framework
I actually watched the interview that Wikipedia sourced there.

Their lead programmer said the engine could work for Mega Man, since both Inafune and the lead programmer really wanted to make Mega Man Legends 3, but Inafune said it was essentially a financial impossibility.

It was originally from here in case the citation is a bit confusing: http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/11281

I'd be happy if they rereleased Shadow of Rome witnout the horrible horrible horrible horrible x infinity stealth sections. But it's probably Megaman. It's always Megaman -_-

It'll be Mega Man 10, which will just be Mega Man X on the download services.

I'd be happy if they release it with fucking multiplayer.

I don't really know what could blow my mind as for a sequel from capcom. I guess I'd be very happy to see a sequel to powerstone though. And if I allow myself to talk obscure, I was always interested in endorados gate (dreamcast japanese only rpg series).

But what would really blow my mind would be capcom taking over some sega franchises. Shenmue III?

If it's MegaMan Legends 3, that's pretty amazing.

If it's Breath of Fire VI, that's fucking awesome.

If it's Strider 3, that's just pure mind annihilation.

I am all for the above, but Strider most of all would fit the bill of "mind blown" status.

A proper DC would blow my mind because I expect it the least. Since I'm still burned out on JRPGs a new BoF doesn't seem that interesting, but a new Strider would be awesome. Or maybe using the SFIV engine for a new Capcom fighter, or a new Darkstalkers. Could be fun.

OH SNAPPLECAKES!

man if it was another breath of fire with a final fantasy type budget then i would definitely buy a ps3 or whatever system it comes out for just to play it.

It's going to blow our minds because it's going to be something really predictable and obvious and none of us will expect that. It's like a time paradox.

Capcom buys Platinum, Bayonetta chick replaced with Nero, you heard it here first.

I think Inafune said that if someone wanted a new Mega Man, they should give him $15 milion and he'd build it. So GAF, chip in or shut up.

I hereby donate $5 to this great cause.

The only 2 logical games that would blow everyone's mind that everyone would want(as far as I know) would be:

Marvel vs Capcom 3 and
Breath of Fire VI

Can't remember any other series that's been hankering for a sequal lately. But despite that I'm about 90% sure it's not gonna be either of those cause I'm extremely jaded.

In five , we're having a meeting to discuss a new game sequel that will BLOW YOUR MIND when you find out about it... much, much later.

Did op overlook this? Or has he planned to add this important little bit, much, much later? It will be ages until we know what it is. Pffft.

Seriously, I'd love this to be either Mega Man Legends 3 or a proper Dino Crisis sequel.

Regarding Dino Crisis, I adore it. The sequel, fun but is very different from the first game. I never got to play the third game on the Xbox but I heard it's pretty bad.

There is only one way Capcom could "blow my mind".

And that would that this announcement is for the Wii. :D

MvC3 would be sweet, but I'm not getting my hopes up. If they DO make it, though, I want to see some more non-Street Fighter characters on the Capcom side.

I want Arthur from Ghosts and Goblins/Ghouls and Ghosts, because a man who can run through graveyards and castles throwing spears at zombies and demons, whether armored or in his skivvies, is a man I can respect. Also, I can't imagine why he wasn't in the first game, but because we need some Z-Saber action: Zero.

With that being said, I'd love to see a new Strider game or - dare I ask - Breath of Fire VI.

I saw it; I doubt "much, much, later" is really all that far from now. Probably an announcement early in 2010.

literally the only thing that would blow my mind is a sequel to God Hand. I don't mean God Hand 2, I'm talking about a God Hand 4. Capcom secretly made two games that couldn't live up to the first game, and the new God Hand was secretly worked on by PG. It's a secret because it was original a Comix Zone revival, but Capcom Ninja stole the code and swapped models.

I think by this point in the thread people have suggested a sequel to every capcom franchise ever multiple times already.

News like this just annoys me. If you can't announce anything yet, you might as well say nothing.

How about a new Darkstalkers in the Sf4 style?

A new rival schools wouldn't be bad either- provided it wasn't broken like the previous one. (had a bunch of inifnites)

Ace Attorney 5, Devil May Cry 5, Street Fighter 5, Bionic Commando ReArmed 2, Marvel VS. Capcom 3, Resident Evil 6, the real Dino Crisis 3, etc.

Goddamnit announce something!

That isn't a million miles away from the premise of Leisure Suit Larry 5; there isn't an LSL4.

A new Power Stone? Please?

This is the best answer, with some Capcom character crossover for fun. And the DC releases ported to XBLA/PSN to build excitement for the HD fans.

Strider is the best for a classic reboot...so long as they don't farm it out to a western firm. Something similar to what Tecmo did to Ninja Gaiden.

Megaman Powered Up on XBLA/PSN with user-created level sharing fully intact.

FUCKING DO IT ALREADY GODDAMN
