I hope that's Street Fighter 5.

You'd have to ask NT. Seth pretty much only works with fighting games.
After their DmC reveal, they shut down any new entries for their official forums (NT). I went on there and any anti-DmC thread or even remotely close to it got shutdown by Mods there. They aren't even answering any questions on there nor are they answering any questions on the Capcom Unity boards.

NT is completely out of touch with the DMC fanbase. They have made an active effort to not directly communicate with the fans. Maybe things will change after Captivate until E3, because they need the extra hype. But the period from TGS to Captivate has been a tense one. Hopefully things change for the better.

Then where are the community managers for DmC? All we have are interviews from the director/producer and those interviews were conducted by journalists (G4TV/some PS site). No fan has directly talked to any Capcom guys concerning DmC (well there was one but he didn't say anything because he didn't know much about the project).

Anytime fan question or opinion come to surface, the NT director just says "I don't care about fans". Other times I have seen this guy show total disregard for the franchise and has repeatedly shown to know very little about the franchise (according to him DMC has been out for 12 years). Let's not even start on why HE thinks DMC is good and what he thinks DMC should be about...

Worst PR ever seriously. I will at least respect that Capcom/NT didn't try to damage control or back pedal this thing, they are sticking to their guns because they honestly feel they have something worthwhile here.

Well, i can say that the guy i talked to at Wondercon (community manager and has a role in the development of DmC. He's plays it often and he's pretty knowledgeable about the series) gave some pretty sound reasons why they've pretty quiet on the whole thing. Like they mentioned back in the interviews, they had only started development on it a year ago, and they didn't have much to show off besides the reveal and their intentions for the game. The wanted to get interest out early to generate hype. Which has actually worked out pretty well so far. It's mostly negative, sure, but the attention is there and everyone is chomping at the bit for new info. Even the harshest critics, people who wish NT would shut down and want Tameem's head on platter, are going to be watching the next trailer and reading up on the new bits of info.

He went on to say that the fan base would just brush off anything they'd say about it until they have something to back it up. You remember the Capcom Europe guy who said they wanted to make this game the perfect DMC game? And all the fans who brushed it off by saying, "yeah, good luck with that", or something like that. They're waiting to have something concrete and definite to show off before it's next reveal.

Could they have handled the whole thing a bit better? Sure, but really there was no easy way to handle a reboot of the game. People would've been skeptical about it regardless.

I'm really hoping for a huge blow out of Street Fighter x Tekken detailing most of the cast and news of the replacement to the focus attack dash system.

Good news is that we don't have to wait too much longer.

With Capcom vs SNK 3 set to launch right after SFxT.

<_< I'd be cool with my idea though. Using the KoF 13 engine for 2D hawt graphics.

That sounds legit and that is pretty much what I assessed from the long period of silence. Thing is that I am a huge DMC fan and I don't even know about this community manager or what his name is. I only know of Tameem and what he had to say on DmC, its fans and legacy.

It would've been nice to have heard those things as a fan back in September. That they are going to show off some really good stuff when it's ready. Basically they showed off the design and went dark after it. Most fans interpreted as that was their BIG thing and they blew it because it didn't get the hype they thought it would.

If Capcom has something solid with DmC, people will be relieved and will hype up DMC. We still want a good game, reboot or not. And it would be nice to have some proper PR and open lines of communication. There are like a thousand questions that fans have swirling in their heads, all of them unanswered.

I wish they'd cancel SFxT and just do CvS3 instead.

Suck it, Tekken fans.

If Capcom takes this game into a new direction, the last thing they want is
butthurt
fan questions in the line of "will you be able to do combo xy from DMCX" or "will you have an option for playing with the REAL Dante" or stuff like that.

You wont get any proper "fan question - honest answer" block in this stage of ANY game development. Why would you? DmC will be shown when it is needed to, obviously, and in the form that is most desirable to Capcom - nobody would want it any other way, unless fans somehow fund the whole development (which they do not).

...except that SFxT is MUCH more original than CVS could ever be, because we have not seen that pair yet, not to mention the opportunity to get a LOT of NEW characters, not SNK stuff.

I'm pretty sure SNK's complete fighting game roster more than doubles Tekkens. Maybe triples.

I'm right behind you on this. I've got Tekken Tag 2. That's all I need for Tekken. I don't care for this Tekken crossover shit. Either direction.

Yeah, I cant even count the times Tekken characters have ever been in a game where you have a 2d fighting system, with an SF opposing roster, right? Oh, wait, there was not any...

i hope this is an announcement of ssf4 ae and mvc3 pc versions, and this is just a zoom in version to show off their 128x aa shit that takes little to no resources!

or something, i have no idea what i'm talking about

Other than Ms. Marvel the rest are a complete fucking guess for me.

Edit: And I guess X. People are saying the top is Frank? I don't see it.

How the hell are you seeing Ms. Marvel?

EDIT: That first one might be Dead Rising 3 as others have speculated. There's a character wearing a white shirt and black jacket, and the Dead Rising logo is to the upper left followed by a "3."

Give it up guys, it's clearly a Goomba and therefore Nintendo Vs. Capcom is coming and therefore Ono is no longer a troll but a visionary. Iwata will personally go to him to apologize for not spearheading it himself.

Frank West (MVC3 NOT Dead Rising 3) for 1st one and DmC Dante for 2nd one.

You can make out Dante's grey/black hair and you can even see the red light/dot from his cigarette.

The middle one with the blonde hair and black mask around the eyes. Who else could it be? The bottom one has the bit of red in it which matches X's helmet. Who knows now that I look at it more. But the second one seems so obvious to me. It is a profile shot of Ms. Marvel.

/eagerly awaits being wrong and slapping myself

I don't get how the hell people are seeing anything in those pictures. :l

Sometimes, when you really want something, you end up convincing yourself that it's there. It's like psychology or some crap. Me? Can't see a damn thing. But I bet if I looked hard enough, I'd be able to see a new Viewtiful Joe or MegaMan X game in all of them.

Uhh... ok. How about we count the times SNK characters have been in a 3D game versus SF characters? Since the stable of never before used SNK characters is so large you could even say "how many times has SNK character X been in a game with an opposing SF character roster?"

It can be spun as something new either way.
Difference being CVS3 would actually have been worthwhile.

Whatever the results may be (granted if these things are real), I hope they will satisfy most people.

The first pic does resemble a guy in a suit. I can't make heads or tails of anything else though.

Frank for MvC3? I think it may be too early for Dead Rising 3. Then again these pics are mostly incomprehensible, might as well wait it out for two days.

Well, with that spoilered text, I cant say anything further to this. If you think SfxT is not worthwile, you are being ... I do not know what. Really, SfxT's existence by itself is HUGE awesome in this genre. SFIV engine is awesome, both SFIV and SSFIV is good, Tekken characters are varied and have a good design - but I guess it is that time when no matter what is being developed, something else should be developed instead.

Shitty job at MS Paint. I have highlighted the important points in red.

White hair, black hair, possibly a cigarette because you can make out the black glove of his hands and yellow from his dirty fingers. You can also make out the red on the face which is him beat up. Yellowish background is seen in the trailer a lot. You can make out the smoke from the cigarette on the left side.
