After their DmC reveal, they shut down any new entries for their official forums (NT). I went on there and any anti-DmC thread or even remotely close to it got shutdown by Mods there. They aren't even answering any questions on there nor are they answering any questions on the Capcom Unity boards.God's Beard said:You'd have to ask NT. Seth pretty much only works with fighting games.
Dahbomb said:Then where are the community managers for DmC? All we have are interviews from the director/producer and those interviews were conducted by journalists (G4TV/some PS site). No fan has directly talked to any Capcom guys concerning DmC (well there was one but he didn't say anything because he didn't know much about the project).
Anytime fan question or opinion come to surface, the NT director just says "I don't care about fans". Other times I have seen this guy show total disregard for the franchise and has repeatedly shown to know very little about the franchise (according to him DMC has been out for 12 years). Let's not even start on why HE thinks DMC is good and what he thinks DMC should be about...
Worst PR ever seriously. I will at least respect that Capcom/NT didn't try to damage control or back pedal this thing, they are sticking to their guns because they honestly feel they have something worthwhile here.

That sounds legit and that is pretty much what I assessed from the long period of silence. Thing is that I am a huge DMC fan and I don't even know about this community manager or what his name is. I only know of Tameem and what he had to say on DmC, its fans and legacy.ezekial45 said:Well, i can say that the guy i talked to at Wondercon (community manager and has a role in the development of DmC. He's plays it often and he's pretty knowledgeable about the series) gave some pretty sound reasons why they've pretty quiet on the whole thing. Like they mentioned back in the interviews, they had only started development on it a year ago, and they didn't have much to show off besides the reveal and their intentions for the game. The wanted to get interest out early to generate hype. Which has actually worked out pretty well so far. It's mostly negative, sure, but the attention is there and everyone is chomping at the bit for new info.
He went on to say that the fan base would just brush off anything they'd say about it until they have something to back it up. You remember the Capcom Europe guy who said they wanted to make this game the perfect DMC game? And all the fans who brushed it off by saying, "yeah, good luck with that", or something like that. They're waiting to have something concrete and definite to show off before it's next reveal.
Could they have handled the whole thing a bit better? Sure, but really there was no easy way to handle a reboot of the game. People would've been skeptical about it regardless.
I wish they'd cancel SFxT and just do CvS3 instead.zlatko said:'
With Capcom vs SNK 3 set to launch right after SFxT.
<_< I'd be cool with my idea though. Using the KoF 13 engine for 2D hawt graphics.

Suck it, Tekken fans.

It would've been nice to have heard those things as a fan back in September. That they are going to show off some really good stuff when it's ready. Basically they showed off the design and went dark after it. Most fans interpreted as that was their BIG thing and they blew it because it didn't get the hype they thought it would.
If Capcom has something solid with DmC, people will be relieved and will hype up DMC. We still want a good game, reboot or not. And it would be nice to have some proper PR and open lines of communication. There are like a thousand questions that fans have swirling in their heads, all of them unanswered.

EDIT: That first one might be Dead Rising 3 as others have speculated. There's a character wearing a white shirt and black jacket, and the Dead Rising logo is to the upper left followed by a "3."

Uhh... ok. How about we count the times SNK characters have been in a 3D game versus SF characters? Since the stable of never before used SNK characters is so large you could even say "how many times has SNK character X been in a game with an opposing SF character roster?"V_Arnold said:Yeah, I cant even count the times Tekken characters have ever been in a game where you have a 2d fighting system, with an SF opposing roster, right? The middle one with the blonde hair and black mask around the eyes. Who else could it be? The bottom one has the bit of red in it which matches X's helmet.

It can be spun as something new either way.Difference being CVS3 would actually have been worthwhile.
