Some folks want to watch the world burn.

It's kinda funny if you think about it. Iron Man's armor was built in our modern time (unless by comic book fiction says otherwise), while Spartan armor is over 500 years ahead haha
I'm not addressing your exact point here, but on the subject of Tony Stark and the level of technology in the Marvel Universe, dude is currently in the process of creating a Dyson Sphere.

Food for thought.
Um... Technology in Halo the Forerunners developed many Dysons Spheres, one that is 300,000,000 km or 2 AU.

In fact Halo 4 took place in a Dyson Sphere.

I'm not disputing any of that, I'm just illustrating the level of technology Stark has access to in 2013. Though it is neat that it's just on a much, much smaller scale than what a precursor race in the Halo universe accomplished however many centuries ago. Thanks for pointing that out.
Oh god.. This is.. Hilarious.I'm not addressing your exact point here, but on the subject of Tony Stark and the level of technology in the Marvel Universe, dude is currently in the process of creating a Dyson Sphere.

Why can they just stand around in space while the workers have to wear spacesuits?
Why can they just stand around in space while the workers have to wear spacesuits?
Doesn't Captain America just need to play Call of Duty to defeat Master Chief?
Master Chief held him by the neck... only to throw him away towards his shield?
wut
Let's not even ask where the materials comes from and where they are manufactured. I guess they come from Plot Factory. Even with as much as good Stark and company are, they don't have the industrial capacity of the Galactic Empire (Star Wars). 2% of a SPHERE around the sun? Even the Second Death Star is a puny thing in comparison. This is completely ludicrous.
I guess it's some sort of ''holographic/virtual/something'' thing that let them be there without being there without needing any Physical bridge. Seems like Star Trek Holo tech logic.

Why doesn't he call it the STAAAARRRRk?
how about avengers vs. these bad boys:

Amen, brother. They really don't know what to do with Final Fantasy do they?
The tech and workers come from and alien race called the Shi'ar in exchange for Earth based precious metals as Stark explains in the page above. The benefits of coming into contact with alien races and beating the crap out of several of them.
So.. those Shi'ar are able to make such a structure in a month?
Sci fi writers have no sense of Scale
I don't really mind, really, I've seen worse in Marvel/DC/Manga/etc.
It's just that sometimes they put those as such extreme that my sense of disbelief is completely destroyed. Cap America being able to lead and win wars against supreme intelligence? Ok, Whatever, that's classic.
Making a kinda Dyson Sphere in a month? Eh, just no.
Two percent of a dyson sphere in a month, from an empire that measures its territory on the galactic scale.
The Galactic Empire made a second death star, didn't even finish it, in 6 Years. A 900km wide Station. Not a ... thing that is larger than 1.4Million kilometers. In a month.
(And the Galactic Empire as at least a ''million'' worlds in it's grasp)

I'm not sure how that's relevant.

Personally, the fact that Captain America went from a puny 100-pound sorry sack of bones into someone who can spar with Hulk, Thor, and probably Galactus (because why not?) after drinking a special sauce offends me far more.

Though the empire has grown to include hundreds of thousands of different sentient species and worlds, the Shi'ar race controls and governs the empire. Its central base of power is located on the "throneworld" Chandilar, while the Shi’ar homeworld is called Aerie (it is unknown if the planet still exists). The leader of the empire is given the title Majestor (male) or Majestrix (female) and is a hereditary position, occupied by members of the royal family of the Shi'ar. Formerly, the Neramani family represented the royal bloodline.
The Shi'ar Empire is one of the most advanced and expansive civilizations in the universe, spanning entire galaxies. It is mainly an economic co-operative, where trade with other galactic powers is its driving force. Not all races have the same rights in the Imperium, as the Shi’ar appear to have a disproportionate influence on its governance.
No weapons for either, Captain can have his shield = Master Chief wins. That's all I'll say.
How do we know that Rogers has faught tougher opponents?
Maybe a Covenant Grunt would be all-powerful in the MU.
My hypothesis is that the MU is a miniature parallel universe, hence ridiculous unarmoured strength and resistance. Cap would be the size of an ant in the Halo universe.![]()

All powerful you say? Well with some elite heretics from reach's firefight mode that would be interesting to see...
haven't been reading the thread? With no weapons MC has no way to take down a shield equipped Steve Rogers.
Rogers is significantly faster, and has beaten the holy hell out of opponents more skilled and with higher strength levels than an armored MC, and the spartan armor will not stand up to that shield used offensively.
Here's a fun scan I haven't posted yet- occurred in a daredevil book.

Cap is hunting daredevil here, basically playing with him. He's moving so fast he's barely perceptible to daredevil's super senses, and though DD can't locate him, he can determine that cap's body is under no strain at all from moving this fast.
Well a elite combat form should be able to do both with ease:Even an Elite would kick CA's ass or at least make him shit himself.

I can still carry you if you fancy some halo sometime...
A single one sure what about a whole army of them?Wouldn't even slow my man down.
A single one sure what about a whole army of them?
Cap fought and beat an entire army of those things and worse singlehandedly for ten years straight.
