Captain Toad Treasure Tracker delayed to January 2015 in Europe?

Bayo 2, Smash, still have to get 3DWorld, Warlords of Draenor is out later this year. I don't mind. Q1 2015 will have Toad and Monster Hunter 4, sounds good to me!

Just what Nintendo needs, more delays....

This is just inexcusable considering other regions are still 2014.

Boo! Now what do I play on Wii U end of this year? Maybe Smash Bros., but I'm not exactly a huge Smash Bros. fan. Very, very disappointed in Nintendo!

I was going to complain about this, but then I remembered I was a Nintendo fan in the 90s and we got treated like a piece of turd on the bottom of Nintendo's shoe back then. So a small delay like this is nothing! :p

//Still bitter about not getting Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 2/3 and Chrono Trigger in the 90s.//

I'm actually happy about this, january is usually pretty empty and this fall was getting too full for me on WiiU (will soend more time on bayo and smash than I did with SM3DW for example).

Bravely Default saw something similar as well last year, remember? But then...it came out in 2013 anyway, so...maybe it's better to wait?

Bravely Default came out earlier in Europe though, same with Professor Layton v Phoenix Wright.

I wonder what the reason is - it can't be to fill the gap after Christmas because it's not a worldwide delay. More time needed to translate for different languages, perhaps?

Captain Toad is a text heavy RPG....well no but Fantasy Life, Pokemon and other things are. Always the little guys that lose out.

Its not all doom and gloom, those horrendously unreliable supplementary lists have Art Academy (temp) coming out in 2014 for Europe and Japan in 2014 but nowhere to be seen in America. Plus Devilish Brain Training is still TBD

No wait I can do better. Disney Magical World is coming to Europe in October. There were many people saying this would never come out in Europe. Do you like your crows boiled or fried?

Finally, semi-confirms name change for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as it is listed as Kirby (temp)

Actually, that's just for EU/NA, which were always Kirby (Temp.), except during the Digital Event for some reason. Planning did have Kirby (Temp.) instead back then.

Game is still called "Kirby and the Rainbow Curse" in Japan. Maybe they're just looking for a title with a more alliterations and stuff for the West.

Well, for the DS game NA had 'Kirby: Canvas Curse', so 'Kirby and the Rainbow Curse' sounds like a (horribly named) sequel. EU had 'Kirby: Power Paintbrush', not exactly sure what they could do with that.

IMO it'll have something to do with clay in the title (Kirby and the Claymation Curse?)

No, that was only during the Nintendo Digital Event.

Officially, game was always known as Kirby. It even said so on the demo booths at E3, and it's been called like that on Nintendo's website ever since E3.

No idea where those two titles come from, to be honest!

Sorry, I meant that Kirby: Canvas Curse and Kirby: Power Paintbrush were the NA/EU titles of the original DS game (which Wikipedia tells me was called Touch! Kirby in Japan...)

Rainbow Curse and Canvas Curse sound sort of related, whereas Power Paintbrush is the red-headed stepchild.

The DS game was 'Touch! Kirby' in JP, 'Kirby: Canvas Curse' in NA, and 'Kirby: Power Paintbrush' in EU. I might imagine them wanting to unify the brands this time around, but the whole Pushmo/Pullblox mess makes me think otherwise.

Ah ok, totally misunderstood your post, sorry.

Well, in that case yeah, they're probably have some trouble finding the right title for Europe/NA. I'm sure they'll come up with something nice :)

Not surprised. I don't think Smash will be pushed back too, it's their smash hit for the holiday (and their biggest hope).

If Shovel Knight also gets delayed to 2015 in Europe then I'll have nothing else for the Wii U this year.

The fact that Shovel Knight is still not available for Wii U and 3DS in Europe is outrageous.

Jeez, that is really disappointing for EU gamers. I hope we still get it this year in NA but I'm going try not to be too surprised if we don't at this point.

WiiU truly deserves all the shit it gets. What does this make, 5 retail games released in it's whole second year? (And some like Zelda Warriors certainly aren't anything to be proud of, yikes)

They better not.

In any case, it's not such a big delay (and gives a little time to clear dat Wii U backlog until the end of 2014) and still beats the crap of no Captain Toad at all :p Wii U <3

hold dat shit Nocturnowl

next up, Smash U delay

Seriously, if Nintendo delays Smash for post-Christmas, what a mess up that would be.

It is THE holidays game I'm waiting for, and I'm not alone. If they fuck this up they'll have terrible numbers for the Xmas period, imo.

I'll be pissed if this ends up like Tropical Freeze and gets delayed in America. If it does, it is probably a sign that Nintendo doesn't have much else for the first few months of 2015 either.

So you think Smash U will be November?
I think Nintendo would have already talked about it if was and then Toad would be December.

Why do people think Smash is going to get delayed? They have no choice but to release it. They will pull a Ubi and put all of EAD on the game like they did with NSMBU and Nintendo Land to ensure it is ready.

I noticed on Nintendo's website that Smash Wii U is listed as Winter 2014 and Captain Toad is listed as Holiday 2014. Is there a difference between the two?

If so it would be a good thing. That end of the year has so many big games (mostly yearly) coming out and saturating the market.
More kids would honor call.of.duty than this, so releasing it in.January is a good idea.

Joke post? There's literally nothing coming out in November/December aside from Smash. I feel bad for my European brothers and sisters. :(

Of course it only get delayed in Europe. Man first Pokémon OR/AS then Shovel Knight it's get frustrating at times.

I still don't even know why we are getting Pokémon OR/AS a week later.

Pffft.. I'm just gonna import it.

.
..
...

Wait.... Fuuuuuuu

And this is why Nintendo console has region lock so they can prevent people importing the US copy thus causing the European sales to be lower.

Because we get Fatal Frame 5 in December. Believe.

Hmm I doubt it.

It begins...

not even japan is getting ff5 this year according to this

No Japan getting on September 27 as the movie is releasing on that date.

No wait I can do better. Disney Magical World is coming to Europe in October. There were many people saying this would never come out in Europe. Do you like your crows boiled or fried?

Does Disney Magical World has Elsa in the game or was that released before Frozen? Because I am only buying it if Elsa is in the game.

Maybe they didn't find a British actor for the French version, as the ones used for AC:Unity are busy.

I'm still betting on Fatal Frame 5 for Halloween.
not really

Anyhow January release is not that bad, there are plenty of games I want to play from September until the end of the year.
