i always thought flapjack, adventure time and the regular show looked dumb.

after watching the regular show clip it looked alright, before i had only seen gifs

so i'm willing to give the other two a chance as well.

so out of the three which should i watch?

Ren and Stimpy's Naked Beach Frenzy is not just 'wat', it's disturbing.

You can watch the disturbing scene on Gametrailers, but NSFW.

Personally, I love Adventure Time but Regular Show is funny more often.

i know rockos modern life is full of risque humor, but heffer having his dick sucked, him ejaculating when seeing models and the turtles place, and rocko squeezing a bears dick made me go "wat"".

Links?

I remember the show having a lot of things, but not that bad. :lol

Birds of Prey - Batman:The Brave and the Bold

edit: ack..beaten didn't see the post above me

Ren & Stimpy is so messed up that there are various levels of "What" in any given episode.

Recentely, I'd have to say the Birds of Prey song from Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

The innudendo, the Eurythimcs knock-off in the background, the thugs smilling at the trio... Everything just felt so strange. Sure there was the Music Maestro episode with NPH, but this one song was so different...

Damn, they're not even subtle about it.

Adventure Time is the better show but Regular Show is funnier.

The Regular Show is pretty much built on a mundane premise transforming into something insane. Trying to get rid of the geese in the park turning into a mecha battle, or reality warping and destroying the park because they haven't completed a tax audit. It's funny but you really come to expect it.

And not surprisingly, all these examples come from either Cartoon Network/WB or old-school Nickelodeon. Which makes perfect sense.

thanks, this helps

this don't help no one
They're all amazing shows but for different reasons.

Adventure Time is like someone's imagination just went wild. It can be really funny, really sweet, really smart, or really fucking dark. The characters are great and the further in you get the more lore is revealed.

Regular Show is... it's kind of stoner comedy. (The pilot was about two guys at 7-11 doing acid). The characters are slackers, and things will be normal and suddenly a whacked thing happens out of left field and it's just crazy.

Flapjack is the most "typical" of the three. It's a pure kids show (that anyone can enjoy, really) the humor is really goofy and irreverent, the characters are charming and silly.

I said "all of them" as a joke, but at the same time I'm being serious because these three shows are very excellent, just in different ways. To be even more helpful, check out Gravity Falls, which is probably the best show Disney has put out since the old Disney Afternoon stuff.

If you want good 'starter' episodes to sample Regular Show I highly recommend 'Exit 4B' which is a salute to all the craziness of Regular Show while introducing you to the main cast in a way. Another great one is the 'Christmas Special'. I said it before, I'll say it again. It is glorious.

As far as Adventure Time, I would say it is harder to peg down since the best episodes tend to pay off more when you know the characters. Seeing as tiny elements pop up at random times it is harder to find something to introduce you to such a bizarre world. I would suggest 'Enter the Nightosphere/Return to the Nightosphere' and 'Princess Cookie'.
The end of the Tree Trunks episode came out of nowhere.
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

One of the best moments in Adventure Time is when Tree Trunks bites an apple and explodes, she was supposed to die but CN didn't let that happen.

This is why so many modern kids' shows suck at family appeal. You use to be able to sneak in a good joke or two without having to shove it in the audience's (and thus kids') faces, case in point. This, however, has all the subtlety of a nuclear powered bus on fire blaring the thong song at 3AM while ramming through the wall of a Franciscan monastery. How anyone thought this was even funny, much less a good idea to put in a kids' show is beyond me. But maybe I'm just a part of the uptight nanny state *shrug*

...thats not real right.

* aquamans sees this, sinks north america*

Nah that song was funny, though aquaman's wife would beat the cold shit out of them for that.

The chipmunk adventure is awesome. And its real. They're also dancing with cobras. The sexual innuendo is pretty thick.

the bear one was already posted

couldn't find the model scene, it's he one where heifer sees some implied nude models and says something like "I spilled my puffies"

there's also the "fancy fenders" prison rape joke, the nudist party in rockos backyard, jackhammering being a metaphor for masturbation, spunky "making love" to a broom, mrs bighead seducing rocko, the chokey chicken being a reference to masturbation....

Many of modern kids' shows have more family appeal actually, this is some straight up old man shouting at clouds business. That scene wasn't trying to be subtle, and the Birds of Prey song mentioned above is an example of subtlety. Unless if you were an adult, you'd not get they're all talking about superhero dicks. Generalize the whole show and all of this generation's cartoons because this scene wasn't some 2-second innuendo joke. Ok, then.

That episode of adventure time where that guardian guy challenges finn to pick up a little ball with the buttcheecks
