From a player perspective, the overlap sucks because people don't take the game as seriously as they do other games. When time comes to take a game seriously, people will pick one game over the other, and games like Skullgirls or KOF will be pushed to the side. When people decide to host smaller tournaments or monthlies, it will be Skullgirls and KOF that will be relegated to a corner. Majors are one thing, but I was seriously surprised at the number of entrants for Skullgirls and KOF because of how small those games are in Florida until I went to CEO. There were 4 casual stations for Skullgirls and KOF. By the beginning of Sunday, the Skullgirls casual station was completely empty and although Mago, TheAnswer, and Romance were playing KOF, there was probably one person, if any, in line for each casual station. Compare this to Momochi or Daigo, where there were massive lines of people trying to get games in with them. That's why it sucks from a player perspective.
