QFT. Lettuce needs to be crisp and relatively fresh. It is usually neither of these things at fast food places.armubaba said:I dunno, I just cannot fucking stand lettuce on my burgers, at least at fast food joints. I'

What Burger King and McDonald's have you been going to? Every single one around me use ketchup and mayonnaise by default and I have to tell them to switch them for mustard. Mustard, pickles, and uncooked onions are the tang/zest trifecta of burgerdom. There is nothing else.ZealousD said:There's two ingredients I can't stand on burger.
Pickles and Mustard.
Both McDonald's and Burger King have both of them on by default.

If you hate the HEEL of the bread then you are safe. No one is supposed to like that shit. My wife does, but only because her parents were/are a bunch of backwards toothless hillbillies. May as well live in a mud pit feasting on fish heads and biting the heads of chickens for all I care. Gross but it doesnt hurt anybody but yourself.
If you hate bread crust in general (cutting it from the perimiter of your crunchy peanut butter sandwich) then your life is forfiet for all I care. I'm sorry, I'm sure your nice enough in other ways, but there are too many bad people on this earth already.
If I remember correctly, people who hate bread crust sit between gun runners and reality TV show hosts in hell.

Beetroot, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, ketchup, and a beef patty.
They got rid of it though a couple months ago. Saddest thing ever.
Very common. I hate beetroot personally, but I don't mind an egg on a burger or steak sandwich.Red Scarlet said:There was a guy I used to know from Australia that would also put beetroot on burgers, and also an egg? Is that common down there?
apparently to "australianafy" a burger you put beetroot and egg on it. I know I put beetroot on my meat + salad sandwiches, but not really egg.Red Scarlet said:There was a guy I used to know from Australia that would also put beetroot on burgers, and also an egg? Is that common down there?

I compensate for my beetroot hate by eating broccoli and potatoes raw. That's right.santouras said:I agree with the sentiment that haters can be sunk at sea as well. People who refuse to eat certain types of food are sad. Especially when its stuff they should be eating, like vegetables.

They're fine on Big Macs, though.

I love pickles, I just can't eat them because they give me an upset stomach. Having acid reflux sucks...![]()

I've tried potato raw. I imagine you need to get the right variety for it to be pallatable.
Yeah most of the time. Potatoes that are usually used in oven baking, boiled or steaming are probably the best - the small round ones with reddish skin. Honestly it's an acquired taste and I can't remember the first time I ever tried it other than my mum giving me a slice of potato now and again when she was making mashed potato.santouras said:O_O

The potatoes sold for consumption are generally bred for low poison content, but after extended exposure to light they start to become unsafe. Potatoes also turn green when exposed to light after a while, but the two actions aren't one and the same.iamblades said:Potatoes are a member of the night shade family, and all the standard precautions apply there, avoid the stems/leaves/anything green.

I like biting all of the meat that sticks out of the bun before actually biting into the whole thing. ^_^natedog4000 said:I usually just pick the pickles off and eat them plain...
What grinds my gears more is that Wendy's put square meat on circle buns, IT'S BLASPHEMY...
