Wow, is that pineapple in there as well? That's made me hungry just looking at it. When's the next flight to Oz?

Yep pineapple, can't say i have had one with pineapple though.

This is false, they always say "Go to the waiting bay!"

There's a waiting bay? :lol

Aren't all the burgers cooked fresh now?
Hell, it took a minuter for my pounder to come the other day.
Fine and dandy.

Pickles are good, but only on mcd burgers. :)

These guys in fast food always put as little sauce as possible on burgers. Fucking IDIOTS.

I went to Subway's last time and there was this girl(boy?) behind the counter and every thing I chose to put into my sandwich she added only a little amount of it. I had to interrupt her to tell she should put more in it with every ingredient.

But the lack of much sauce on hamburgers (big mac, filet o' fish, zinger burger) annoys me the most.

I think this is down to the managers. I used to work near one that was kinda stingy but the one I go to now is great. They can barely close the sandwich, I actually find it exciting to watch. In fact, I'm going right now!

Edit: Oh and can someone clear this up for me. I've noticed that from Americans there's generally a like for McDonalds and a dislike for Burger King. Either all Americans suck or there's something very different about your BKs and MaccyDs. Even after Iraq I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt - what's the difference? Here McDonalds do the driest, saddest little burgers ever. I've never come out of one feeling anything but contempt. And BK, while a little overpriced, well shucks I love that place. Big burgers, big salad, loads of sauce, better chips, Dark Whoppers.

Pickles are the yuck

My Pickled odysee

At first when I was small I was naive and just picked out the pickle at mcdonalds, than I was cued in to the fact that you could order your burger plain, i did this for a majority of my life, until one day I thought "hey you know I could order this burger without pickles and get all the other toppins" ever since then I have orderd my burgers without pickes and since then I've never turned back...

Muh mamma never ate much red meat so at White Castles or MacDonald's she'd order
"1 big mac hold the meat extra pickles" or "5 white castles no meat extra pickles."
That always confused the workers.

Reading the Pickled Christian thread got me thinking, why does McDonald's always put a stupid pickle in Cheeseburgers. All anyone does is rip them out and/or fling them away.

I am sick of ordering a Cheeseburger and having to wait because it's custom (this applies to all takeaway stuff).

Who is with me on this? We should mail all our unused pickles to McDonald's or something - this madness has to stop...

You should be doing this anyway. Otherwise your cheesburger was probably made close to half an hour ago. Trust me, after working at the place, placing a special order, and thus guarnateeing a fresh burger, is the way to go.

stop bitchin and make your own burgers, it's not exactly rocket sciene.

This is Ronald "McGlobalization" McDonald we're talking about here. If he could pump margins 0.05 cents by slashing pickles, he'd do it in a heartbeat. The fact that he doesn't must mean that the focus test group insists on them every year.

Onions are worse. I hate how mcdonalds puts those disgusting things on by default. Of course you can order without, but when they screw up...

pickles are fucking great in anything. I would put pickles in my cereal if I cou...... hmm.....

I thought I was the only one who didn't like pickles as I've never seen anyone else remove them from their burger.

To be honest all I want on my burger is meat and cheese. Sometimes I put fries on it but that is it.

a burger is not complete without lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. this is not up for debate.

pickles are nasty, though. i always end up taking them out--just do that, instead of ordering one without pickles. it'll only take longer that way.

The problem is that you need fire to get the awesome flame grilled flavor Burger King has. It's too much trouble to make just one burger for yourself.

I hate that they mince them too. So if they do mess up, you've got to scrap it off with your finger, which sucks.

I always eat the pickes. I try to get them over with quickly though. I like them, but they are my least favorite part of a burger. They are usually in the middle, where the juciest part of the burger is anyways.

I hate any veggies on my burger only thing I'll take on mine is grilled onions. Sadly not many places know how grill onions right.

When it comes to Pop Tarts though, I eat all of the 'crust' there; I nibble it all off around the thing then eat the frosted/filling part afterward.
Weird, I do that too.

McDonald's and Burger King are both gross. Whataburger for life. And pickles rock.

Respect.

+1

Unless I feel like Bacon or Cheese, I get my burgers with pickles only.

Now ketchup, there's a substance that could stand to be banned.

Pickles suck. Frankly, the lettuce fast food places use sucks too. Onions, too.

Just give me the burger, the dressing, cheese, and maybe some tomatoes. Jalapenos if they're not extra. Bacon maybe. Mmm.

Anyway, some places have burgers where you can avoid having to ask to cut all that shit: Jack in the Box has the Ultimate Cheeseburger; Burger King has their Stacker. Etc.

I like pickles, lettuce, & tomato, but not always on my burgers - or rather, it depends on where I'm getting the burger.

At In-N-Out, I'll usually go with either a double double (when I haven't eaten all day) or a cheeseburger (when moderately hungry) that's done animal style (extra pickles on this one) with no lettuce but the tomato stays.

If it's Burger King, I'll usually take out the lettuce and tomato.

At McDonald's, I'll usually get a plain cheeseburger (meat, cheese, bun).

When I go to Fuddrucker's (it's close to my house & right next to the GameStop I work at part-time), I'll usually get a cheeseburger that I top with onion rings and use ranch for the 'sauce' while excluding pickles & tomato slices.

For me, pickles aren't just good on a hamburger, they're mandatory.

I even request them at places where they aren't included by default, like In-n-Out.

I love pickles on every type of sandwich! But then again, I am weird in as mush as I tend to mix sandwiches together and make them different.

For example: I always order 1 double cheeseburger, and one spicy chicken at McD's, but I aways take out the chicken patty, and put it in the hamburger itself. I also do the same with Pastrami and turkey sandwiches at the Dei or Subway, but I like that better!

However, I can't stand non-cooked onions... those always get tossed!

Mayonnaise is the most disgusting thing to violate a burger, and also the easiest condiment to hide semen or pus in. Go figure.

I love pickles on my burger. I'm glad they have it on there. Or else I would have to custom order it. And I'm sure other people would bitch about the chopped onions they put on there too, but you know what? thats how McDonalds makes it, and if you don't like it, then YOU have to custom order. Not the rest of us who eat it the way it's intended.

I don't know if what your noticing is an accurate indication of the national preference or what, but I personally prefer the fire-grilled "flame broiled" BK burgers over McD's. Kids seem to like McD's more, so maybe they just carry that with them into adulthood ignoring actual taste.

Uhhh, I don't know what you're talking about, because Burger King is clearly better than McDonald's.

How many Americans have you met, exactly?
