They would probably just remove the eyes. Blind cats are remarkably capable of handling themselves.

Oh. Well ok then. Do that IMO. I'd be too disturbed to look at the cat and see its eyes like that if I adopted it.

Ditto - I wasn't expecting it to be pleasant, but those pics are beyond brutal. I just hope that kitty is loved by its owner.

Considering the owner set up a whole blog for the cat, I think it's safe to assume that is the case. I thought the message at the top of the page was really touching:

Cats have a third eyelid that moves horizontally and only comes out when they close their eyes. You may see it sometimes when they're sleepy.

I'm pretty sure the son of a bitch got one of my cats years ago.

He also tried to sexually assault a friend of mine. If I'd have known I might have indulged in my animal side and ripped his fucking face off. Instead he goes on and rapes a young woman.

If he gets the chance again he'll probably kill his next victim. I just hope he rots.

Sadly, it reads as though a corner of a homicidal triad is being checked off. Poor thing.

It's even more grotesque in regards to human capacity and capability for cruelty that this unfortunate cat only had what was done, done.
 
This is horrible. You have to be a fucking psycho to do this to an innocent, defenseless animal.

Why would anyone do this? Just to satiate their blood anxiety? For "fun"? I just don't understand it.

If you give a cat some drugs to make them calm down for trips and such, the eyelid goes to almost the middle of the eye. It's soooo sad to see them like that. I know it's not bad, but they look so defenseless like that :_(
 
The person should get the same done to him and more. Here's hoping something truly terrible happens to him.
 
This reminds of a cat at an animal shelter I volunteer at. He was brought in with significant trauma to his face and jaw, likely from abuse. After several surgeries, the vet saved his life but he is blind in both eyes. Its heartbreaking when you see him because he's such a sweet little guy and you have to question what kind of person would do such a thing. Its truly disgusting.

The amazing thing is that he's still friendly and trusting of humans, and as far he's concerned he's just like any other cat and plays and climbs like a champ. Best of all he was adopted this past weekend. I hope the cat in this news story is just as lucky. Its stories like these that make me volunteer and donate to animal rescues.
