I always feel like I get more with boned wings so I go with those.
Although when Applebees does their 25 cent boneless then I can't turn that down.

I have only ever had good boneless wings (as they like to call them) at one place. Only reason to get them is if I don't want to use my hands.

I used to go boneless because it was less work for my food, but I got a newfound appreciation for traditional wings in the last several months and now it's all traditional all the time.
Yup, it's just a marketing angle to dress up chicken nuggets with sauce on them.
The whole pleasure of chicken wings is in the skin and the fat, which are lacking in "boneless wings". Chicken skin also stays crispier longer than breading, when covered in sauce.
It's just a delivery method for sauce anyway and chicken wings are nasty and don't have enough meat to make it worthwhile. Boneless every time I have the option.

while I like chicken overall, the veins that can sometimes come out of the bone into the chicken as I eat disturb me.

plus they are just easier to eat, less messy, and I know exactly how much I am eating as if things aren't done right on bones (where the meat slides right off) I end up eating a lot less of stuff :/

I'll take boneless on occasion, especially since it is simpler to eat, but the best ones are always traditional. A few of us made the trip up to Buffalo in August for a combo wings/Niagara Falls trip after my sister saw the recent buzzfeed article about wings, she tried out the local one (J Timothy's), and with so many on the list being close together in Buffalo. Totally worth it, these are the ones we went to (and associated pictures from the article).

This right here. More meat, more sauce, more happiness.
With bonelss, half the sauce just ends up on my fingers or face, then on a napkin. A waste. The meat gets stuck in crevices between bones that I can barely reach.
Nugget or not, boneless all day.
