So this idea was concocted because I thought Michael J. Fox was in the Mighty Ducks for years, and I understand that that's not the case now, but I still hold that both men looked incredibly similar back in the day. Both also have some great movies under their belts, especially at such young ages.

Emilio Estevez

Can play a douche better than Zabka and then proceed to play the hero that everyone's cheering for in another movie with ease. Generally seems like a nice guy despite some of his family members.
Key movies
The Breakfast Club
The Mighty Ducks
Young Guns
St. Elmo's Fire
The Outsiders

Michael J. Fox

The definition of quick wit. Naturally charismatic and took his craft as an actor incredibly serious. Career cut short due to Parkinson's but continues to help others who suffered a similar far.
Key movies
Back To The Future trilogy
Stuart Little
Doc Hollywood
Mars Attacks!
Spin City(TV)
Family Ties(TV)

Really though, you don't have to pick one. I like both a lot, and I was just hoping people would have movies to recommend that either of them are in that are underrated, or any stories because I find both guys to be real interesting. They're no Bela Lugosi or anything, but I do think both were very good for their age.

What? No mention of Freejack? Or Maximum Overdrive? The video game segment of Nightmares?

Not to mention one of the greatest movies ever made (in all seriousness) called Repo Man.

Michael J. Fox was also in The American President, which was a weird sort of romantic proto-West Wing deal. Women like that film.

Grilled Cheese and The American President. Oh yeah.

So I'm voting for Michael J. Fox even though you said we didn't have to pick.

Family Ties and Spin City. I don't know how anybody would chose Emilio Estevez. Okay, he was in The Breakfast Club, but he was the least interesting of the five.

I miss both of them. MJF's return to television in Curb was outstanding. Emilio is getting the weird puffy face his dad has. But I miss him. I wish they'd both start their own show/movie.

I just kind of block out any werewolf movie that isn't American Werewolf in London

if you had been a teen in the 80´s when the film first aired, then you also would have wanted to be a Basketball playing hairy kid.. today people only want to be some pale guy who looks like a dog.

This is actually a really good head-to-head matchup, well done OP.

Breakfast Club, Wisdom, & Young Guns too much for McFlyWolf.

I like Emilio Estevez and all, but this isn't even a contest. Michael J Fox is on another level.

Michael J Fox wins because he's still consistently entertaining in his guest spots. Liked him on Scrubs, like him on The Good Wife, and his previously mentioned Curb Your Enthusiasm appearance was good stuff. Nothing against Estavez, just can't remember the last time he did something I cared about.

Seriously, people have never seen Repo Man? It's like the Pulp Fiction of the 1980s.

Only instead of a glowing briefcase you have a glowing car trunk.

Wait why'd you leave out his most important movie?

FREEJACK

Oh wow, I totally forgot about Freejack - Loved that film when I was a kid. One of those 'good crap' movies. Anyway, love Michael J. Fox more. I virtually grew up wishing I could be a teen wolf and have a 'doc'.

i love both these guys, but c'mon man, emilio estevez has been in far more classic movies.
my faves? the mighty duck trilogy, young guns, judgment night, the breakfast club, and men at work.

of course, michael j fox was in the back the future trilogy, so that counts for a a shit-ton.

movies= estevez

tv= fox

most prolific actor= estevez

most iconic= fox in the bttf trilogy

behind the camera: estevez

What was that movie that Emilio did with his brother where they were garbage men?

Edit: nvm... Men at Work.

Holy crap I forgot all about Judgement Night, I have to watch that again.

I discovered it recently and..

I fucking love Freejack.

It is now my favorite Emilio Estevez movie.

Wow this is tough. On one hand I fucking love The Mighty Ducks trilogy and Maximum Overdrive. On the other hand I fucking love BTTF trilogy and The Frighteners. Shit I can't choose. *head 'splodes*
