Christian Group Plans Protest Over Michael Sam Joining Cowboys

Huh? Working on Sunday is not a sin.

It is if you use the strictest interpretations of the Old Testament, which is what bigots use to justify their homophobia. The same Old Testament that old says you should kill your wife if you find out she's not a virgin on your wedding night.

Huh? Working on Sunday is not a sin.

It is under the Law. Christians love picking and choosing which part of the old law they will follow. Nevermind that the Law was given to the Jews, not Gentiles - and was fulfilled by the death and rez of Christ.

/sunday school

But I mean...when aren't Christians being persecuted in America?! Their entire shtick relies on the belief that they're being oppressed!

Of course, even though they make up 70 something % of the U.S. and that percentage is represented even higher in politics and Buisness CEOs.

I seriously hope that anyone displaying anti-homosexual or prejudice behavior should be tossed out of the stadium this Sunday with no refunds.

“I don’t want my kids looking up to me and say Daddy, what does that mean that he’s gay?”

wtf... hahahaha. Yeah, let's make sure that no gay people ever get hired for anything ever because I don't want .. my kids to ask me what gay means ..

I'd pretty much guarantee that this dad watches the Cowboys/Skins games every year and calls every player on the Redskins "gay" in front of his kids.

-edit-

People in the comments are pointing out that this "Christian Group" is ridiculously small and not nearly anything near the 3mil members the group claims. The founder only has 140 followers on twitter.

Will they also protest the iPhone announcement on September 9th? None of these fine Christian folks buy Apple products because Tim Cook is gay, right? How would they explain iPhones to their kids?

Is he? Huh, never knew that.

Oh and fuck these idiots.

Think about the children.

Why aren't they protesting the fact that:

all Football players are required to work on SUNDAY?
the players play for GREED and VANITY?
we IDOLIZE this athletes?
Thou shalt not kill?
Thou shalt not commit adultery?
Thou shalt not steal?
Thou shalt not bear false witness?
Not all athletes are Christian?

Funny how they can look past a lot of these (mayby not the "kill" one), but when it comes to gays, who are all around us, living happy lives, hurting no one, some Christians fucking loose their minds.

Honesty, it's harder to explain Christians to my kids than it is gays.
This last sentence sums up everything I feel about this and many other similar events.

I'm sure half of them will be cheering Josh Brent's (got a practice squad member killed while drunk driving) return later this season.

"What does gay mean?"
"It just means when two men love each other, or two women, instead of a man and a woman."
"Oh, OK."

How I found out about homosexuality. Verbatim.

It's too bad for them that they don't do anything about these idiots then...
I mean people have their own convictions on things which is fine, but Christians in general need to get a grip and explain to their bigoted brothers & sisters that what they are doing isn't loving. I know a guy in my sisters church who is getting some flack cause his brother is gay. What ever happened to love one another as you do yourself?

I know a lot of people who actually believe this. That's the part I find truly depressing.

My sister has this friend who played for the Packers and there's a sizable amount on even that team. That whole belief makes gay teens really not believe there's anyone out there like them. Good thing we have the internet now and celebs frequently come out.

These people are fools. They know nothing about being Christians. They do the work of the devil, showing hate for their brothers and sisters. What about love your neighbor as you love yourself? It's a very important commandment to keep. They say they follow Christ, but they've completely ignored his message so they aren't really Christians anyways. It's about imitating Christ, the one who is loving and accepting of every person, even the enemies. These people are the enemies unfortunately, and they use the name of Christ to expose the evil in their hearts to the world. It's truly a sad thing to see.

I bet these people just cannot stop thinking about penises. Like all they think about all day is penis. Every time they close their eyes all they see is penus, peens, and pines...

The same book that says love one another says stone gays to death. The book in contradictory and believing what it says is not based in reason.

Yet you demand actions based on reason?

“We cannot just stand idly by as Christian values and morals are trampled. We will do whatever we can to preserve family values in this country.”

No seriously....what does this have to do with football?

I wonder if they'll be at the Ravens games protesting Ray Rice? Or at Broncos games protesting Wes Welker? Or at literally every other team in the league protesting some activity that a player has done? Ugh, these people disgust me. At what point will normal run of the mill Christians who aren't wack jobs rise up and try and prevent fundamentalists from destroying their religion's reputation?

To me it is mindblowing how extremist these folks are. They want private organizations and the government to openly discriminate, perhaps even criminalize.

Even if you are Christian and believe whatever... how can you be so anti American?

I really don't get the "think of the children" viewpoint. Kids aren't some little fragile snowflake that will shatter if they're exposed to reality. They've probably figured most of this stuff out by the age of six or seven anyways and just ask the questions to find out what the adults think.

Or at least, that's what I remember from being a kid.

Now that I think of it it is kind of a good troll that he ended up in te south

You can explain to your kid that an invisible sky man exists and punishes you for eternity if you don't "accept" him, but explaining some guys are into guys is too much. Okay.
