I really don't get the "think of the children" viewpoint. Kids aren't some little fragile snowflake that will shatter if they're exposed to reality. They've probably figured most of this stuff out by the age of six or seven anyways and just ask the questions to find out what the adults think.

And it absolutely is wrong. One is either willing to be vocal proponent of equality for everyone or they're on the wrong side. Sitting on ones hands and ignoring injustice makes one part of the problem. Inaction is a problem. American Christians as a whole have made their position very clear.
