Ideally they'd do collection up ports with HD graphics, trophies (and Move/3D support where possible), release PS2 games on PSN store with the same DRM as other games (not every PS2 game will be big enough to do a collection, ideally upscaled to improve graphics a bit) and release a Software Emulation solution for non BC consoles.

fixed. Metal Gear 2 is an entirely different game, and if any game would be considered Metal Gear 3, that would be the original Metal Gear Solid. And as for that, if they are going to do an MGS Collection, it has to include HD versions of all 3 Solid games plus at the very least, ports of the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (which were included on Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Disc 2)

I know 3D is only in Sly 3, very odd they're working more on the one, it's the weakest of the three.

I doubt it. People demanded this stuff. It started because the idea was listed in the possible GoW3 SE bonuses.

They said they cut it to help push PS3 software, seems very likely to me.

The PS2 has so many classics it would be stupid for them not to continue this trend. I'm assuming the GoW collection sold well, and this will probably do quite well too with a nice advertising campaign behind. Maybe linking it with that Move game that has Sly in it...

I actually really like the idea. The box art doesn't really concern me, as long as the games play and look great. I don't know if I'd rebuy games that I already played through on PS2, but I'd definately buy games I looked over like SotC and ICO. I keep hearign how great they were, but I played mostly sports and RPGs games last gen. I've been much more open this gen since the slow addition of (good) RPGs onto PS3.
