I'm not complaining that they are being made, I'm just lamenting that I've spent money on versions of the game that are becoming obsolete with the HD collections. I only have myself to blame for not playing some of them.

I absolutely loved God of War Collection and I am looking forward to Sly collection and the rest.

Just Sony & Ubi seem on board so far.

EA is too, kind of...with the Medal of Honor: Frontline and Dead Space: Extraction remasters, but they're being bundled in with other games.

British Retailers: *********** has listed Sands of Time Trilogy in HD with 3D Support for November 26th release under the PS3's Classic line up.

I don't think that's a safe conclusion if they're reissuing existing content. It's not like they can't sell a Blu-Ray version of Tarzan in the future.

Zone of the Enders 2, please.

The game is still gorgeous, pure visual sensory overload.

But it would be eye-melting, ball bustlingly ridiculous remastered in HD.

I hate psone shitty graphics.

First person mode broke the gameplay of MGS1 because the game was not designed to have it. Also, missile jumping crazy cutscenes aside, they unfortunately didn't capture well the style and colors of the original game at all with the graphics update. The bluish tint that was pervasive in the game (with it there being cold and all) was all but gone from the remake.

I'm sorry, but history implies that doing things like that is never a good idea. In 20/30 years, you'll see posts like "wow, I found an original retail release of God of War in still in shrinkwrap for only 1500 dollars!"

This is a brilliant and clever way for Sony to work on its past heritage with PS2.

The possibilities are endless. Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Jak & Daxter, DMC, Onimusha, could go on and on.

I know there will be people angry that they're not just integrating PS2 emulation instead, but I'd much prefer to have a port with improved resolution, frame-rate and trophies.

EDIT: Although where the hell am I supposed to find time to play all these re-releases when I haven't even got time to play new games?

I'm really jealous of Splinter Cell collection. I wish Ubi brought it to 360 as well. PC version has no pad support, which makes controls really unintuitive and Xbox version is hard to go back to - screen tearing was quite horrendous.

A Siren collection would be amazing, but I doubt it would get a release here. For some reason that series never got any status outside of Japan.

Also, King's Field collection? It would be cool if Classics HD would go as far as remastering PS1 games.. although that might need a bit too much asset rebuilding. I would be happy with just King's Field V.

As long as they have high res assets I think it might be possible. Besides that Ubisoft seems to love love love milking their games out, Rayman just released on DSi not too long ago. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a BGAE port coming!
