Clayface | Official Trailer

Looks good. I hope they can get the general public interested because I don't think Clayface is well know. Maybe they should have gone even more horror direction.

Going for Cronenberg body horror/transformation but the narration over the trailer is painfully pedestrian. It sounds like a monologue from the CW Arrow show. "You want to know how I feel? The justice system failed me. They stole my career, my money, my life…"

I think I mentioned this in another thread. But it's weird how live action Batman just isn't really a thing for kids anymore. I guess maybe The Brave And The Bold will change that.

EXACTLY THIS!

Looks fine. It would be rather ironic if the only good film in Gunn's universe wasn't even originally intended to be in it.

Looks good. Hopefully there's a plot they didn't give away because as interesting as the body horror stuff is to me, surely there's more to it than that.

Cool effects, but feels like a 6/10 script thus far. Hopefully the movie itself has a great atmosphere and doesn't feel formulaic. I don't really get many horror vibes from it.

Deciding to cut open your eye with scissors in a turbulent airplane bathroom is pretty horrific, imo. But if there's no time constraint, I would've waited until things calmed down a bit. Call me crazy.

The first trailer was better. It was mysterious. Left a lot to the imagination.
Should have just left it at that.

Yeah but whats his deal?

A project goes wrong and some people are blaming him for something he didn't do it!?

Eh

Positive: weird bizarro body horror makes for a good movie, in theory
Negative: uninteresting casting (seriously, that guy is not a handsome attractive playboy), schlocky story and writing (Mike Flanagan is crazy overrated) and most importantly: this is the third movie in Gunn's DCU after Superman and Supergirl and it is a one-off horror featuring a B-tier villain from the Batman roster. We haven't even seen Batman in this universe yet!

A horror movie from the DC universe? Who's going to watch that? Also a strange casting decision to feature 0 recognizable actors in a 40 million dollar+ flick.

I liked PENGUIN a lot more than I thought I would. It demonstrated that the DCU, and Batman specifically, has a lot of great material for genre stories that don't feature men in tights (see also: Gotham Central, a fantastic police procedural by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka that's just begging for the prestige TV treatment). All to say: I want to believe that CLAYFACE can do for horror what PENGUIN did for the mafia drama.

Very bad trailer. First one was much better..

This one looked like any other trailer for an horror movie, no personality, very cliché

I'm not feeling it so far

My biggest concern about the movie is that he doesn't actually transform into a monster at all. Instead, it's all happening in his head because he sees himself as ugly, and that's why he perceives himself that way.
