Cloud announced for Smash Bros

Would have preferred Sephiroth to be honest but cloud is good because it means there will probably be a final fantasy level with final fantasy music.

He looked awesome though. Design based on his original look, limits, Midgar stage with summons. So good.
 
As awesome and hype as Mega Man being in smash was, it was something that could have been possible. I never expected Cloud to actually show up in Smash. That Midgar stage too, great stage, great music, Summons (pls have a Knight of the round). And Cloud with Limits as a mechanic seems cool, like Mac's KO meter.

So... Goku next yeah?

You know what, I think this is great! It once again shows that Smash isn't just about Nintendo's history, it's about the history of video games in general.

Pac-Man, Ryu, Cloud, Sonic, and Mario all in the same game together. Wow.
 
With Cloud in the game and apparently not even a Ballot character it seems like literally any result from the ballot could actually get into the game, haha. Fuck, Snake, freaking Cooking Mama, anything could get in.
 
Final Fantasy Explorers is coming to 3DS. That's the connection I guess.

A weak connection, but dammit it's Cloud Strife.

EDIT: S-E is gonna make so much money with the remake.
 
I am in legitimate shock. Holy shit I was not expecting him at all. I never even played FFVII but goddamn Sakurai you did a goodass job with this.
 
Holy shit, my most wanted character. It's as if they read my Smash Ballot request and listened. I still can't believe this is real. =O

Only Snake is missing now and this game will have every important video game character ever.
 
This is great because it shows people that they don't know shit. All the speculation, all the theories about patterns and legacy and oh but they can't because they said this and that and it's a matter of relevance and there are rules to this and... no. Fuck your shit. They do as they please.
 
Cloud amiibo incoming? That's going to open a lot of doors for him to pop up in like Mario Kart or something.

Cloud amiibo should be compatible with FF7R when that comes to the NX.
