This is true as two SEC schools have won the NCAA BB tourney. ACC hasn't fielded a team in the BCS and hasn't played for the NC since FSU in 01

As someone who has always been into college football, am I crazy for thinking the hype for this one was off the charts but it didn't ever really feel that way? IDK maybe it's because the bowl season is so long, and we had NFL games all weekend. Just felt odd before the start of the game. I was ready to watch the game, but it just didn't feel electric to me personally ahead of time.
