College Football 2010-11 Bowls: *

I'm not familiar with the college football celebration rules, but that was a modest, restrained response to the touchdown and feels like an utterly bullshit call. There had been bigger celebrations earlier in the game with no call. What an embarrassing way to end the game.

damn, wanted to see that go into OT. Don't like it when refs decide the game on a questionable penalty. And why is that assessed on the extra point as opposed to the kickoff. Fucking NCAA :lol

what bs, when players kneel in the endzone and pray that draws attention but they dont flag that
They tried to a few years ago, but then the usual suspects got all outraged that players weren't allowed to "thank God" after a TD. After that, a lot more magically found the Lord and started kneeling after TDs.

:lol "Celebrate Good Times" playing in the background.

ICE. COLD.

Big 12 is 1 out of 4 :lol :lol weakest BCS conference!
This year
The Pac-10 could easily go 0 for 4. U Dub will definitely lose, Oregon-Auburn is a tossup, and Va Tech is probably good enough to beat Stanford.

Reminds me of that Jake Locker one against BYU 2 years ago.
Was thinking the same thing. I understand they don't want people signing balls with a sharpie or whatever, but you have to expect a little exuberance on a TD at a time like that.

I'm pretty confident in a W for Stanford. They really should have beaten Oregon.

exactly. Taunting should not be tolerated, but a salute to a crowd on a neutral field should be okay. A salute is a sign of respect so why aren't players alowed to respect the crowd?

I like how Blackmon's 1-yard taunting yesterday didn't get flagged, but make a subtle gesture on a potential game-tying touchdown is 15 yards.
In fact, by the current rules, that TD could've been called back.

Granted, the current rules are completely moronic.

I'd actually consider making it a reviewable penalty.

Just saw OSU scheduled a home and home with UGA starting 2020, glad to see the SEC leaving home. We'll see if it comes true, UGA has backed out of games before, plus its 10 years away.

Louisville will be BCS champions in the next 3 years

Louisville won't get a chance to be BCS champs.

But Louisville should be good the next few years. As a lot of us said at the time, Strong was a terrific hire.

Good on OSU. One of the few schools that schedules good OOC games.

UGA actually had a home and home with ASU just last year, I think, so they and Tennessee are the only schools that schedule decent OOC games other than Florida's in-state games.

Nevermind Alabama doing Penn State, Michigan state, Michigan

But yeah, Clemson, Florida State and Vt aren't very good.

That's right - forgot about that. Saban's always scheduled good OOC games going back to when he was at LSU.
