Apparently the school is stupidly miserly in that regard as well unless you're doing nanotech work. :lolclaviertekky said:Regardless, yes, the facilities are old and do need a revamp. Most of our endowment is spent on research though, which the school highly prides itself for it.
I think it took me 3 years until I saw a set play in the halfcourt out of a timeout. A true revelation. It was as if 100 years of basketball history flashed before my eyes.Although Carmody is not the same caliber as Fitzgerald is in skill for their respective sports, he's had a lot to work with Northwestern basketball. At least now, recruiting is much better than it has been in decades, if not forever. Now Northwestern is not taking foreign players (i.e. Croatian) and is raking in more of Chicago recruits, which makes more sense. How did even Northwestern had problems recruiting in their own backyard is a head scratcher.
Otherwise, the Princeton Offense, while somewhat genius, only goes so far, and Carmody can't teach his guys to defend at all or get boards. Ugh. That's what bugs me most of the team.
2010 actually.2009? I graduated a tad bit later in the summer as I needed a project to finish, but that's awesome.
I thought I was the only Northwestern guy on GAF. :lol
On a side note, I wish they'd burn down Norris. Maybe they'll work a stadium there in 2020 or whenever that new student center is supposed to be built.
