VT lost to Boise AND a division 2 team.

The fact that they're in a high profile bowl game against #4 is a tragedy.

I hope Stanford piles on another 60 points.
blame automatic bowl bids

I want this Luck dude for the Panthers.
Well, congratulations. Your wish is going to come true.

He's an absolute stud. Smart, strong, accurate (even on the run), fast...

Yeah. I remember watching Stanford earlier this year and thinking "if I was the Bills or Panthers, I would tank SO hard right now to get this kid."

Indeed, however this is the first time I've watched Stanford all year, and they are just a really fucking good team. Solid on defense, can run the shit out of the ball, great pass protection, and really good play calling. Luck is quite good, but he's also got a great team around him. That won't be the case next year.

What's the word on whether he's leaving early or not?

Remember when people used to debate who was better between Luck and Locker? lol.

If Harbaugh somehow stays, I think Luck might stay. This is more possible if they lose tonight but that is looking quite unlikely. If they win, and Harbaugh leaves, Luck would be an idiot to stay. He already has his degree, right?

Damn, what a throw!

Harbaugh's gone. If rumor is to be believed, he's already being courted by multiple NFL teams, plus Michigan.

Oh my god, Luck is so god damn good!

Edit: VT tackling...

Luck is the real deal unlike that overrated POS Jake Locker.

VT sucks. Oh well, at least the ACC wasn't putrid in bowls this year, 4-5 I think? Given past years I'll take it.

I don't think they suck, they are just getting out coached right now.

There is no way in hell Harbaugh stays. His stock isn't going to get much higher, and realistically he can't do much more than he's done at Stanford. It's not the type of program where, because of recruiting and resources, you are going to be able to have 11-1 seasons every year.

I hate this announce team. Everyone they talk about... "How can you not love.... this guy?"

who's their QB next year?
VT is toast next year. Even if they make it to the ACCCG, FSU will be there again and EJ has already proven that he is the real deal with two bowl victories before even becoming the starter.

He's only a redshirt sophomore (so academic junior).

I really think Luck is one of those special QBs, like Peyton/Brees/Brady. There are guys that go #1 overall by default, like Matt Stafford, but Luck is on a higher level.

Not exactly coasting there. Full steam ahead for the Cardinal.

BTW, anybody know why Stanford's name is singular? It's strange...

Wouldn't be surprised to know its a rip off of the Harvard Crimson

That doesn't mean he can't have a degree. Christian Ponder got his degree in 2.5 years and already has an MBA, working on a second masters right now. If luck carried in a lot of credit (likely give his brains) then he could have earned a degree by now (and certainly by the end of this spring term).

If he has a degree this spring, he will definitely be out. I could see a guy like him staying for another year if he didn't have a degree yet though.

I really like watching Luck play. He's so damn good!

It's the color, not the bird (or church official).

Like the Mean Green, or the Crimson Tide, or... the Heat, I guess?

Good point.

If their defense didn't let them down, they would of beaten the Ducks and robably went undefeated. Thank god the game was in Eugene
