WTF was that lol. I'm pretty Les just told Lee to go out there and throw an INT to make this a game again. How did he even think he was open? There was 3 guys around him.

They've given up and are running the clock out. I think.
At this point, clearly.

But seriously, 3 minutes and the ball, with a two-score deficit? Come on. Have some goddamn pride.

Edit: and, ayup.

Edit 2: excuse me, 3 minutes and 3 timeouts.

well I got my +2 pts in the pick em thanks to LSU, but I don't feel good about it...maybe if they hadn't shown Kragthorpe I'd feel better

Man what a game.

Weird though. I noticed the refs chillin with a big LSU guy before the game.

Also, did you guys notice Miles? He was doing something with those headsets!

Seriously, I couldn't believe it! I know their offense sucked all night, but what kind of message does quitting with 3 minutes and 3 timeouts send to your team? Sheesh.

So it getting ready for classes to start next week I was checking out some of the events and people coming to Campus this quarter and saw this.

Eddie George and Desmond Howard both played for and won Heisman Trophies at The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan respectively. The matchup each fall between Ohio State and Michigan is considered by some to be the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Come watch as Eddie and Desmond discuss these two historical programs in a debate moderated by ESPN's college football analyst Todd McShay.

ACTUAL EVENT: Sunday, November 20th, Doors at 6pm, Event at 7pm, Ohio Union - Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom.

Seems pretty cool, will have to go and check it out.

Starting this late has to suck for students who buy season tickets, but don' t live near campus.

Our season tickets consist of only 5 games starting with Colorado. If you want tickets before school starts, and thus before your season tickets start, they cost $30 each.

Even with the student discount, still kind of sucks.

It's not bad for football tickets, but we screwed badly on basketball tickets. Season package is only the big 10 games, so its 10 games for like $120. Each additional OOC game is like $25.

Did anybody see this? I found it really interesting. I wonder if there will be a coach at a small school willing to try this in a college game.
I've read about that guy before, but the video of the onside kicks was amazing. I had no idea that half of that would be legal, especially the guy "snapping" the ball to the kicker who then did an onside kick. Bizarre.

AAAARGH! I can't take those stupid pom poms anymore. It just sounds like static coming through the TV. It's downright grating.

I would hate to be the ref at that game.

Wasn't he the guy that used an obscure punting rule to make the A-11 offense, where everyone was an eligible receiver?

Do other schools have expensive student tickets? They're only $1 each at Arkansas.
Define expensive. Florida tickets normally have a face value of $50. I believe students pay $105 for the year (7 games, $15 a game). Now it was $70 for students last year, only $10 a game. Even with the hike, I think that is a steal to go to 7 games in the best atmosphere in college football and to see one of the best teams play host to the SEC. No required donation either. That $50 a ticket face value applies to overage sales and scalping. My seats...well there is a required donation of about $500 a seat. You do the math.

Edit: $1 for an Arkansas ticket is still overpriced.

As of 2 years ago Bama student tickets were only $7/game. Plus the $10k or so in tuition and other expenses.

Student prices are about $150 for season home game tickets, $25 or $30 for single game student admission, and $50 for big game tickets.

edit: Yeah, I was shocked when my brother told me how cheap Bama tickets are.

When i went to VT student tix were "free", but not guaranteed, had to get up early or camp out (for the more larger games) the night before, but one student could get up to 10 student tix (we had these things called athletic cards that were given to each student, so we'd pool those w/ a single student, etc)

Now a days all students can buy season tix for guaranteed seating, i think its $150 or something for the whole year. This only applies to sophs. and up, freshman or non-season ticket holders can attend games for free by entering an online lottery (its fixed so if someone entered every week they are at least going to get 1 or 2 tix).

Generally i've attended games by using the secondary markets or due to shitty ACC traveling fanbases buying from visiting teams or visitor returns.

I have no clue how much UGA student tickets go for now. I think they were about $10-25 each when I was getting my ticket package. The away games for students range from $25-75 now, that's all I could find about current pricing.

Whoever made the comment about SEC offenses being poor must not have seen UGA last weekend. 43 points is no slouch. I would say SCAR's wasn't bad either, but they only scored 17 points on offense.

Student tickets are "free" at FSU as well. All students pay an activities and services as part of their tuition. Some of which goes to cover Student Union events (free movies, free concerts, free everything basically) and some of it goes to cover free Athletics events. For most sports, you just need to show up and flash your ID. For basketball you can do that but they also let you pick up tickets in advance (which is necessary for the big games, but not necessary otherwise).

For football, the current system is that you have to sign up online the Sunday before the game. Normally it's not a problem and as long as you sign up in like 72 hours you will be fine. Oklahoma tickets "sold out" in 17 minutes. If the Noles win tomorrow, I expect tickets to be difficult to get for the rest of the season. Alternatively, you can drop $20 (maybe $25) and join Student Boosters at the start of the semester and you are guaranteed tickets to all the home games. If you are smart you do that.

Back when I was an undergrad, you had to sign up online, you got a number, and then you had to line up outside the ticket office later that week. Then they called out numbers and you turned in vouchers (which you picked up at the start of the semester) in exchange for tickets. This was great because if you didn't want your vouchers, you could just sell them off to people that needed extras, and when you turn them in you can turn in up to 10. This was so you could sit with your friends, and only one of you would need to bother to wake up hella early to get the tickets. Now all the student tickets are general admission, which is also nice but it means you can't easily sell your spot since the tickets are print-at-home and have your name on them, and they do a decent job of checking IDs at the gate.

On the plus side, going general admission forces you to show up to the stadium early if you want a good seat. It's a good motivator for the incredibly lazy/fair-weather/tailgate-obsessed FSU fanbase who would routinely show up in the middle of the 2nd quarter after they had a good buzz going. Fuck those guys. Support your team, assholes.
