Comcast users finally get something besides crap service. A WW2 Pvt Beta Code

Comcast....

Don't be silly guys just pay the extra $50 a month for unlimited.... fuck I hate Comcast

It's what I do unfortunatly. Now I got out of my way to download shit. I like to at least double my cap every month, make them earn the $50.

I got my code, I'm trying to redeem it on PlayStation store mobile and i keep getting access denied, anyone else?

There's more to the cost of doing business than just content, but you're smarter than that right?
We're making technological advancements everywhere else. My smart phone from this year's fast as hell and can do significantly more than any other phone I've owned. My TV from last year's slimmer than my damn computer monitor. All the streaming websites are quickly moving toward making content available in 4k and UHD. Games are getting higher quality art. Movies are getting higher quality special effects.

Hold up though. Comcast's cable box is still offering up all its channels at 720p. There's advertisements on most on demand channels even though it's significantly more expensive than the alternative option that is Hulu without ads. Oh, and their internet packages have only increased in cost while not increasing in download or upload speeds, while simultaneously tacking on a ridiculous data limit.

You deserve some sort of hail corporate tag for these posts. I don't care that you work at Comcast. I care that you come across as someone getting paid to post pro-Comcast comments.

You've also derailed this thread.

Signed up for this on the 23rd when I first saw this thread and still haven't received a code or any email from them. Kind of a fun thing Comcast did here in supplementing my usual disappointment with their service with a brand new and unexpected way to let me down. Well played, Comcast.

Our entire lineup is available in 1080p, I dunno what crack you're smoking. Also, I haven't derailed anything, the title of the thread says Comcast provides crap services, that's what I'm posting about.

Also, the internet packages have increased in speed, there was actually a free speed increase last year for the bottom 2 tiers. You want no data cap, pay more for a better tier or start your own ISP.

BTW...What do you do for a living?

Why are you doing this ? This isn't a "stop picking on comcast thread" stop trying to turn it into one.

I'm simply responding to the Op and people responding to me. I simply wanted people to understand they should think more about what they say before they spew hate and bullshit. Just trying to let people know that there are people behind the corporate logo who care.

I honestly can't tell if this is a parody or not? If so, this unnecessarily aggressive customer outreach character for Comcast you're playing is absolutely dead on right now.

If it's not, take a deep breath and realize nobody is personally attacking you and just go on with your day.

Yes, comcast has employees. Like every other company on the face of the earth.
And they have bad service for a lot of people.
So what exactly is your point again ?

I assure you it's not parody, and if you think telling people that there are hard working behind the name, who genuinely want customers to be happy, is "aggressivel customer outreach" then I dunno what to say.

There's a lot of happy people too. Probably more than not happy. You realize most people don't go online to say nice things.

Neat, people work hard at Comcast. That's not unique nor the point of this thread - and someone coming into this thread from Comcast telling a wide swath of people who likely have legit beef with Comcast that they have to censor themselves because people work hard there doesn't fly at all.

Also, if you expect a forum of people who download gigantic video games who unexpectedly were subjected to a data cap (along with likely a WIDE variety of other grievances) to be excited about Comcast, then yikes.

And to keep this more on topic, Comcast goof'd on not providing me or two of my friends codes that we signed up for on the 23rd. Unless you're the guy who personally messed up on providing us the codes Comcast said we'd get, I don't think anyone has any beef with you.

Are you entering it on the cal of duty site first? That's the site that generates your PS code

I never got mine either...when I submit my account number it gives me a generic thank you you'll get yours in your email message...but i can keep entering my number and the message never changes.

Makes me wonder if this is even working or not.

Yes, checked my primary email still no codes either

Surprising you think they would want us to use our monthly cap to try to charge us more.

Oh wait, nvm gamers on a gaming forum that have to download huge ass games that are soon to eat almost 20% of our cap for one game LOVE and are happy with Comcast's service

Oh fuck off

I like that someone who works at comcast is here to lecture us about how great they are, when they haven't even delivered on the codes they said we would get lol. Not that individuals fault or anything, but comcast has a reputation for a reason...

1. If people have beef with Comcast, they need to demand a resolution. If they're not satisfied with the person they're dealing with, they need to ask for the issue to be escalated until they get the right person. I know it sucks when you're dealing with some bullshit and having to spend a long time on the phone with multiple people, but unfortunately it happens. In the end, if they're still not happy, then, by all means, they should cancel their service.

2. I'm not telling people to censor themselves, I'm simply saying think before you speak. If you truly have been wronged, then have at it.

3. Data caps? Yes, data caps suck. As a gamer myself, I completely agree. Unfortunately, I have zero say in that matter.

4. Beta codes. Was it Comcast's fuck up that you or your friends didn't get your codes or was it Activison? I understand the promotion was through Comcast, but wouldn't the codes come from Activision? If it was Comcast's fault, then yeah, they fucked up and you should call them and tell them, which leads me to my final point.

Rather than bitch on the internet, call or chat with Comcast if you're unhappy with something. As I said before, there are good people who want to help you. To all the people in here who think I'm crazy, it's simple, I just take pride in what I do and it bothers me to see the comments. I think lots of people see Comcast as an easy target and I think a lot of people are just repeating shit they've heard and not necessarily experienced.

Anyway, I'm going to stop now. I'm sure many of you will be happy about that. My apologies to anyone that didn't like what I was saying. This was actually a bit out of character for me, I usually keep my mouth shut, just struck a nerve is all.

Use the live chat. Got my code in less than 5 minutes.

Tried this, no go for me, said I'd get an email within 24 hrs, even though I explained I signed up for it over 24 hrs ago and beta already started way earlier today.

He said chat agents couldn't give out codes.

I have had my own modem for years now. Yet every year it never falls that they always start charging me a "modem" rental fee and I have to go through chat/call them to get it resolved (usually multiple times).

Somehow even when I buy a brand new modem (like I did earlier this year) they still start charging me for it and say it's "in their system" as one of theirs, then I have to dig up my receipt and things and show proof that I bought it myself and it's mine, not theirs.

Only for the next year or so they'll "find it" through some review and start charging me yet again and I have to go back through all the hoops all over.

This has happened like 5 times now and it's freaking annoying as hell to deal with.

Yeah, that's not cool. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you why that keeps happening, other than it's probably some audit software that keeps finding your modems mac and flagging it as some sort of a problem. You would think after what you've been through, they would make note in your account to prevent it from happening again. I know you've done it before, but my only advice would be to call again and ask for a supervisor or manager. You can also find Comcast executives email addresses online and email them, that works too.

1. I'm currently on my nearly monthly adventure where Comcast gets my bill wrong and I get to call them. Spent an hour on the phone with them Tuesday where they couldn't tell why I was being charged what I was, only that they couldn't fix the problem themselves, so they kept escalating my call until I went to the 3rd tier (where they couldn't help) and now I'm waiting on someone from Comcast to call me back because they couldn't solve the issue that day. That was 3 days ago without a return call, my problem isn't fixed. I'm looking forward to the next batch of calls I get to make to start from zero. Once my contract is done, I'll leave. Unfortunately at the time I signed up, Comcast was the only one in my area offering internet speeds I needed for my work (then further complicated by data caps halfway through my contract).

2. OK, I thought about all the bullshit they've put me through (data caps, bill bizarrely different each month, outages and the cherry on top, the code), and I decided to speak on it. Others probably have their own adventures they've gone through and decided to speak on it. Unless your name is Mr. Comcast, nobody here is specifically complaining about your personal work ethic.

3. Yes, agree data caps suck and it should be shouted from the rooftops everyday and Comcast should be ashamed of themselves for implementing and lobbying for such an anti-consumer BS move. Unless you're Mr. Comcast, nobody here is going after you for this, but it's a real shitty business practice.

4. I got no idea if it's Comcast's fault or Activision's, but I signed up through their website and they told me I'd get one. THE LEAST they could do is email us and tell us what is up.

I'm just kind of shocked that criticism of Comcast is something that offends you. I know this isn't scientific one bit, https://www.pcmag.com/news/350979/comcast-is-americas-most-hated-company, but this can't be new to you, right? We aren't all people who get their jollies out of criticizing for no reason, most that do have very real beef and do get in touch with Comcast. A guy from Comcast coming here telling us to stop "spewing bullshit" about the mega corporation he works for really isn't defusing things one bit.

And dangit, tonight was likely the most time I'd have with the beta, and now if I even get the code sometime soon, still gotta wait for 16gb's to download on PSN.

You're right man. Everything you said sucks and it shouldn't be that way. Like I said before, I bust my ass and care about our customers. Sometimes you just get tired of hearing how shitty the company you work for is when you, and lots of people you know, try hard everyday to make people happy customers.

Sorry for your troubles, I hope they can make it right for you.

I came across this and figured I would share it here:

*Update*

Given the amount of customers that requested, emails are still being sent out at this time. Please be aware that it might take a lot longer.

If you are concerned about entering the wrong code when you previously registered, I would recomend entering the account number on the registration page a second time. The account number is usually a 16 digit code, and make sure you are removing spaces. Registering a second time, will not override your first registration so if you did enter it correctly the first time this will not be an issue.

However if you did enter it incorrectly the first time, please be aware that you will not get the code until the next window which is on 9-1-2017.

http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Call-of-Duty-WWII-trial-for-Xfinity-Internet-Customers/td-p/2947921/page/3

I definitely put the account number in with spaces (copy and pasted). If that was the incorrect way to do it, why did it accept it? I really hope that isn't true -_-;

EDIT: it looks like further down in another post they mention that the spaces could be a problem, but they don't know for sure I guess. They have confirmed with some individuals that didn't put spaces and have received their codes.

Well that's some bullshit, I used it with spaces to, since that's how it shows up on your account info.....

They really should have said "no spaces" where you put it in or something, sigh. So no beta this weekend because of that.

Apparently you can create a Hong Kong PSN account and download the beta for this weekend. I did the same copy-paste from account info and haven't received an email, so I'm going to try my luck with the HK method.

Edit: it works. If you have five minutes to spare, you can create a new user on your PS4, set up a new PSN, then download the "early access" beta from the HK store.

Signed up midday on thursday, still havent received any code. Thanks for the great service again comcast.

Edit: fucking really comcast? Put account number on your site with spaces, but then require users to enter it without spaces and not tell them?

Nope, CS told me last night that they had an issue and everyone would have their keys within 12 hrs, it's been past 12 hours and still nothing.

Tried talking to CS once more to see what's up since the "You'll get it within 12 hours" had come and went with no code still,

"I understand that you have not gotten your codes yet. Just a heads up, is only available while code supplies last. They will give response to the first who requested the code.
It is a limited code and those who have requested will be replied and given a code."

Basically they are brushing it off now, clearing way for people not to get codes becuase they had a "limited" amount and if you didn't get one you were too late (though I signed up the day it went up, well before the cut off point).

There's more to the cost of doing business than just content, but you're smarter than that right?

You cannot be serious, right? Are you also going to defend them charging $50 for unlimited data, of which supposedly they said something like 95% of people don't even need? So if that was true, why charge? What's the big deal?

Obviously it's a business but we all know how much Comcast makes. It's insane. They're increasing prices because of losing cable subscribers year after year, because turns out people don't watch 300+ channels.

I am on the internet only package (Blast!) and every December it goes up $4. Right now it's $87.95, three years ago it was $75.95. I expect another hike up to $91.95. But that's business, right? They clearly aren't making enough.

And I haven't been on the introductory starter price of Blast! ($59.95), so it wasn't prices going to their normal standard ones. If I hadn't bought my own modem, there'd be another $10 for renting theirs.

Why defend Comcast and their scummy tactics? If I wanted to downgrade, I could get 100mbps (half my speed) for $84.95. Wow a $3 savings for half the speed. Or 25 mbps (yes that is the next downgrade) for $74.95. Or 10 mbps for $49.95. Comcast does have some great values!

It's all bullshit. I'm sick of their monopoly, there is zero competition in my area, and if I want decent internet for best value per mbps, I am forced to get their 200 mbps package for $87.95.

Same here. Lol fuck Comcast.

I'm not mad because I don't really care, I just think it's hilarious.

lol at people defending Comcast when they used customer information to flood the FCC comments section to make sure net neutrality didn't get passed.

Are you entering it on the cal of duty site first? That's the site that generates your PS code

Yeah I did. I just had to clear safari cache and all was well.

I agree Comcast sucks, I tried to go with the only other high speed internet company around me and they are much worse.
Qwest that is, they repeatedly send my closed within two week account to collections and I keep having to call them and say hey, I closed my account within 30 days! they say yeah I see that and I'll take care of it. Then sure as shit I get a call 6 months later from collections saying I haven't paid the bill qwest never sent me. I think I'm on a good year and a half of this shit. Pretty sure my good ass credit is now shit. At least it was in my name and not my wife's.

Why does getting quality internet access need to be so hard?
