His appearances on Opie and Anthony over the years were always fantastic and many were sheer brilliance. He will be missed.

Holy crap, I just heard about this. Patrice was one of the few stand-up comics that could actually make me laugh out loud. This is so sad. :(

He's the kind of guy who would want people to make fat jokes about him after he died, he was just that cool. But I will refrain anyways... RIP
 
RIP. This pretty much means there's no point in watching a Comedy Central roat now with both Oneal and Giraldo dead. Oneal's stand up special on Netflix is the funniest stand up I've watched in years.

All the good comedians are either dead, retired or only do unfunny movies.

fuck fuck fuck fuck! Goddamn, this sucks! I never really heard of him until the I started listening to the Opie & anothony show, but his back and forth with Louis CK was some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard.

goddammit, I thought he was gonna be fine, really. Poor Patrice. :/
 
I am devastated. He was by a large margin my favorite comedian. Most of the time I don't care about celebrity deaths because they are usually past their prime or I simply don't feel it, but man, Patrice is really a lost to me. The guy was downright intelligent. Simply bringing up a current event around him led to comedy gold and always interesting. I especially love his comments on show business which were spawned by him talking about Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant.

It sucks that people who could bridge the regular/alternative comedy gap are dying like that. Ugh.

Everyone needs to catch his special, 1 of the year's best. It was a high, at least.
 
Sad news. The guy was talented as fuck and underrated. Shame he never got his due. I like to think that he and Greg Giraldo are making fun of each other for how the other died right about now.

One of my favorite bits of his was the one where he talked about how he doesn't litter, because with his luck he'd be walking through a park and throw an empty soda can away and it would land next to a dead white woman with his DNA all over it.
 
I don't think I've ever seen any of his standup, but shorties watching shorties was pretty funny. I also liked him on that radio show he was a guest on. Rip patrice.

I really liked this guy, the "Who?" on the first page gets to me. :(

Such a talented guy who never got to be as known as he should've been, and now never will.
