I thought Amy Schumer was funny and the jokes were typical for a roast. Really odd now because it was so recent, but nothing was wrong with her jokes.

Yeah, it is really one of the best shows they've ever done, under the worst circumstances. They got a bunch of comics to come in and tell great stories about Patrice

Most of the Tough Crowd guys (Jim Norton, Rich Vos, Bob Kelly, Colin Quinn)
Jim Florentine
Joe Rogan
Bill Burr
Joe Derosa
Louis CK
Dave Attell
Amy Schumer

And it wasn't artificially sappy or anything. They just talked about how funny he was and how difficult he could be because he gave zero fucks. Great show.
The whole show is up now.

Norton's tweets are great:

While @iamcolinquinn and I laugh, Patrice attempts to fend off a small horse.

Last one I'll post today, one of my favorite photos of all time. Just wish I could remember what we were laughing at.

Just got done re-watching Elephant in the Room tonight on CC. Makes me even sadder now.

He was just so brutally raw and honest. You really have to be stripped down as a person to get where he was at mentally. There's not many comics that ever really get there (or are brave enough to reveal it).

I had never heard of this guy until the Comedy Central roasts.

I've been listening to all of his podcast appearances today, dude was truly hilarious. Seems like he had his head on his shoulders too. Sad that I found out about him so late.

RIP.

yes, but she took it too far and it was kinda fucked up she seemed to focus more on him than even charlie.

that's because they're all part of the same clique in NYC. they're all brutal to each other when together, and even on the O&A show from yesterday most of the comedians spent equal time reminiscing about Patrice, insulting him, then each other. it's hilarious to listen to.

Man, I love this chappelle's show skit, it makes me sad now watching it. i hope that picture does not offend anyone, but its a pretty funny moment. :P

I don't know if this has been posted yet in the thread, but I think this is my favorite video of him:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjIuPSuYSOY

Patrice debates a representative from NOW on foxnews.

best part is that the woman he is debating continually has to fight to hold back her laughter.

Legendary

That's my favorite part of the video. This woman is OUTRAGED(!!!) yet this guy was just so funny, even she couldn't maintain her stance on high horse.

Just so good.

Very smart, funny guy. A really sad thing to happen to the comedy world. He had some of the most interesting takes on movies and social issues that I have ever heard.

Rogan comes on pretty much exactly at 1 hour mark, but the whole episode is really really good. Tons of great stories from his comedian friends and plenty of clips of Patrice.

Watched his "Elephant in the Room" special yesterday on Netflix. Not exactly a high octane comedy bit, but there's a ton of unspoken truth and hilarity in there. Loved it.

Even though it's been all about Patrice these past few days on O&A they are still going to devote their channel to him this whole weekend.

He was a great one. I'm really saddened by his passing. He was one of the great satirical thinkers in contemporary comedy, with very insightful musings from time to time about showbiz.

man, i miss this dude....re-watching elephant in the room tonight.

such a loss.

I re-listened to his appearance on Marc Marons WTF podcast... makes me sad because he had so much left to give. The way he would break things down and his use of analogies. Truly amazing.

Still listening to his appearances, man this guy is really enlightening to listen to.

His best appearance I've heard so far has to be when he appeared on Mark Maron's WTF, talking about Women and Racism. I've never heard these issues broken down to such a basic level but funny as fuck at the same time.

Sorry to hear you don't know shit about comedians and are trying to defend Patrice here and you obviously don't understand the (fat) body of his work. Patrice didn't give a shit because they were JOKES. I watched the clip the other day, and she does not spend any more time on him than she does anyone else, but she had to come up with the best jokes to throw at him since he was the funniest motherfucker there and if you make HIM laugh than you did your job.

So good job showing you are a complete dumbass because you don't know what in the hell you are talking about.

holy shit dude, opinions. calm the fuck down.

Well you are entitled to your opinion but you don't seem to understand the way their relationship worked.

Amy talked at length about the Roast right after it happened when she came on O&A and during the Tribute you can hear clips of Patrice explaining how they would all go after each other (specifically in an interview they played with Kevin Hart)

So while you can think that she took it too far, it would have been exactly what Patrice would have expected her to do and would have been disappointed otherwise.

In fact the Roast stuff was tame compared to the shit he would get on the O&A show from other comics lol

Fuck me i just heard about this..damn rip patrice. I loved his work, such a funny dude.

Me favorite youtube vids are the nasty show, and just watched elephant in the room.

Sorry for the bump, but I can't create a new thread and this one seemed the most relevant.

Mr. P, Patrice's last album comes out tomorrow. It was all recorded and put together before his death so its being released the way he wanted it to. From what they've mentioned on O&A the record company tweaked his contract after his death so his family sees more of the profit.

There's a link to purchase the album on Amazon, but its also available on iTunes.
