Swamp Thing and Animal Man are so so good.

And O.M.A.C. man...yessir.

But Stormwatch, Action and Amazing Spidey were my books of the week.

Agreed. And it's butt ugly.

I got that brah, I like it. Cancel Batwoman nobody cares about her.

WTF, MAN? WTF?!?

I love Batgirl, never read Batwoman but I just want Batman Beyond back, it got me into comics and now I feel cheated it hasn't been officially solicited yet.

Never read BB but the show was the shit. Definitely was the best superhero cartoon show.

If we're offering bat books as sacrifices, Red Hood and the Outlaws would be my choice. Because, even putting the "blah blah objectification" stuff aside, was anyone really clamoring for Jason Todd, Starfire, or whatever Roy Harper is calling himself this week to get their own book? Let alone be in one together?

Well Marvel gave their pedos their cake by making Shoe-horn slightly less pedo. And incest only flies if you're that wildly overrated hack Mark Millar.
I don't recognize millar. Hell I'm starting to believe that red son was ghost written...

I need a new avatar guys, someone want to come up with something awesome? Can involve- Hal Jordan or Catwoman or Nightwing or Batman or The Flash.

Also I feel jipped that they didn't relaunch police comics, the first arc writes itself, Plastic Man and Woozy Winks are dealing with a new world where the police aren't trusted and fuck the police.

I need a Spidey book to pickup besides Black Spiderman should I get: ASM, Avenging Spider Man or Scarlet Spider. If MJ is Scarlet Spider then I get it either way.

I've had some decent luck with eBay in the past. Never tried craigslist for selling comics though.

Thanks.

Pull out what you want to keep.

Take the rest to a comic shop and see if they'll make an offer on the collection.

I would rather give crap away to charity before I sold it on ebay just because comic books and ebay are a massive pain in the balls. Folks are always trying to game you for the condition of the damned things.

Oh man...we're still living in the era where people are anal about the condition of comics? I'd hoped we were past that.

Omg get some Spider Island.
ASM all the way

also what the shit! I was reading my Batwomans and on #2 when they showed Batman Inc they had Red Robin, Dick Grayson Batman, Azreal and Lady Blackhawk with lightning fuzzed over them....but not on Huntress. I thought she was erased to earth 2 what the ffff hell is going on

Amazing wins only cause the others haven't started. Though Avenging Spider-Man looks like it'll be fun.

ASM is good? I had no idea. I was under the impression that it sucked... well compared to the ultimate series which was what I've been reading.

It's been good ever since I jumped on with "Big Time" last year. People have been up and down on it since "Brand New Day", but I haven't read any of that, so I wouldn't know.

Shreddertron continues to be badass in the current TF storyline.

I hope Issue #4 of the new spider-man changes the tone of the series. It kind of makes me sick that MM is a shadow of PP in every conceivable way possible right now.

Speaking of Batbooks they need to cancel one already so Batman Beyond can comeback, it's just waiting in the wings and it should have been a 52.
That's confirmed to be returning in 2012 with a new #1.

Yeah in June Beechem said it was going to be a 52 then it didn't happen now he says sometime after the next trade is released in January. I want it bad.

Comixology sucks, everything about it is great EXCEPT if I zoom in I lose my tap-to-turn-page. Thats the main thing that makes ComicZeal so much better for me. Having to either unzoom or do a mega-swipe to get to the next page kills me.

And I've bought a fair bit of stuff through it already too. :(

It's coming. In fact, Didio hinted of three separate series in the Beyondverse. Don't be hating on Batwoman. ;)

That's when I jumped in and haven't regretted an issue. Slott writes the Spidey I love.

Super excited for Joe Mad's Avenging. The preview for issue 2 had a huge grin on my face.

I was trying to create a character earlier and it kept booting me back to the character select screen before I could finish. You'd think they would have sorted out these kind of things in the last 7 months.

They had. They are being slammed with ridiculous amounts of new users currently. None of these errors were happening prior to the gates being opened wide.

So I just want to say that Superman is kind of going nowhere. I thought it started out interesting but I am already tired of it by #2. Action Comics continues to be amazing.

Hey guys

Where's a good comic store that ships overseas for a reasonable price.

I'm in Australia

cheers

PS I'll buy comics digitally one day... but not today

Yeah, exactly this. And tbh Batman and Robin has no reason to exist either outside of being a C Tier batbook. Just have Robin appear in the other books like in the old days.

Bought my digital comics last night for the first time, was a great experience all round. And it helps that this first week is fucking killer all round:

Uncanny X-Men - pretty good. I've been following Gillen's run (I'm OG Phonogram yo!) for the past year so this felt like a nice continuation. Loved Storm's line about "Raise your hand if you've not been considered mostly supervillain" and I dig Gillen's sarcastic world weary tone.

Sweet Tooth 27 - great stuff all round, Lemire continues to pen one of my favourite long form arcs. Really impressed with how the artwork looks on the iPad too, Matt Kindt's painterly style transfers really well, you still get that textured paper feel without it being printed on that ugly pulpy paper.

Action Comics 3 - this was great. Got some surprise Gene Ha in at the start, now there's a fill in artist I can get behind! I really like how Morrison is handling this new Clark Kent, he seems much less of a pushover than the old one and I'm really feeling the direction of the story. The twist at the end was fantastic too, I gasped aloud when I realised where they were going with it. Nice bait and swtich with Corben.

Animal Man 3 - this was the fucking shit!! Every page knocked my socks off, the art was utterly horrific and mind bending, every page had something where I was shouting to my wife to come and look at it. This is the most fucked up comic DC have ever published, and I'm loving every single panel. Travel Foreman has quickly become one of my very favourite artists. His control of body language is amazing and he draws fucked up better than anyone.

...and that's it. Trade waiting on Swamp thing, dropped Stormwatch and OMAC. When you have to click one at a time to buy your books it makes that decision so much harder. Or rather, easier to drop 'meh' books. On a device where I'll uh and ah a $3 game that could last me hours I'm being much more cutthroat in what I'll put up with from a 15 minute comic book.

Speaking of which, totally dropping All Star Western after #2. I really don't see the awesome that everyone else does. The art is ok but the story is paper thin. How many pages of Hex shooting guys was that? Fight scenes in comics are pretty much filler as it is, but that much filler of sketchily drawn dude with blood coming out of them mean literally nothing. There is no subtext, shock or even interesting choreography there, it's redundant. I would pay good money for a deep western book, but this ain't it. Although it did get my biggest laugh of the last week in the backup story. "What's going on here?" "Indian Curse" lol

Why not just buy your stuff from Kings Comics? Otherwise Midtown are alright, but you'd need to be buying a shitload of comics for the savings to start equalling the shipping.

Just trying to figure out what's better.

Also I think I've developed an aversion to physical stores.

Whaddaya know, the cover to this week's issue of X-23 wasn't a lie; Laura gets her power cosmic on. :O

Also, I love the new cover to the next ish.

I'm very close to dropping this as well. I never read Jonah Hex in the past but I picked up the first issue because of all the praise and it was a fun story. With issue 2, all that fighting really turned me off plus we had the second story which I don't care about one bit. I hate reading two different stories in a single issue.

I totally missed the boat on Spider Island (actually, I dropped Spider-Man full-stop when the book changed over from Brand New Day to Big Time). What do I need to read to get into this event?

Just get ASM and Venom and you should be fine.

Loved the epilogue. Casselli should have done the arc.

Welp, Uncanny definitely seems to be the better book despite 'Scott's side' clearly being the worst one. I guess the memo is Scott needs to be an absolute asshole these days, hence why he's shutting himself off from everyone else in the universe such as the Avengers. Sinister is troll-tastic.

Spider-Island actually made me excited about Spidey comics again in the 616, after my once mainstay of USM died an inglorious, pathetic death and now lurches along with non-entity Miles Morals (of the story) sleepwalks through setup after tedious setup.

Kinda wish the 'new' Scarlet Spider actually was, yknow, red. I really loved the old janky hoodie costume of the 90's. it was goofy but oddly really cool.

Spider-Island Avengers one-shot is a must read as well!

Hmm. I found Deadly Hands and Cloak & Dagger better than the Venom mini myself.

I suggested those because they are the most important plot wise. Deadly Hands had great art by Sebastian Fiumara.

That's the only other SI I read besides ASM and Venom and it was well worth it. May be harder to find now though? I have no idea.

I think the Red Hood could have a good mini by the correct writer. Roy Harper should have been erased in new 52. Starfire belongs on Teen Titans.
