His Thor and X-Men are pure garbs
I feel ya brah, it has such a good cast for me to resist though...KidDork said:This is why I'm tempering my excitement over Defenders.
Can Gillen write Defenders instead? Please?
Doesn't that line up exist in some form? An elseworlds or something?thetrin said:Back when Dick was still Batman, I fantasized about a "New Justice" book with Dick, Donna, Wally, Connor Hawke and Mon El.

And what is an editorial mandate? I've read some people talk about it saying that it keeps books like Avengers Academy and Generation Hope alive.
If only.Satchwar said:I wish we could reach a point where Dick, Donna, and Wally could become Batman, Wonder Woman, and Flash and not get demoted again.

Any suggestions? The Take Out Bandit said:If y'all want change - there are plenty of talented indie creators that do change their books up that could damn well use your money.
But keep on pissing and moaning and handing that cash to Disney and Warner Bros.
The term "editorial mandate" usually has negative connotations, and gets reserved for times when the editorial staff affects significant changes to the direction of a story to the detriment of the writer's vision.Rafa=FedKilla said:Wait for the next 52's next October brah.

It includes pretty everything that the HC already has (which I already own), but if it's oversized, then it's a no brainer for me. It's my favorite company wide crossover event series.ViewtifulJC said:Absolute Final Crisis, with 3d glasses and shit!?

Yeah, I'm probably gonna buy it

EDIT: I guess it just serves as a nice alternative to the main series.

Same here brah, already went to the shop and I need to know.Garryk said:Anyone read Avenging Spidey yet? I need some impressions!

Also brahs, what companion X book do you guys reccomend I pickup besides New Mutants? I'm leaning towards Legacy because I love Gage on AA.
Right now I'm getting Uncanny, WaTXM, and New Mutants. Generation Hope interests, but it being a low seller and Marvel canceling titles makes me wary of picking it up.BenjaminBirdie said:Astonishing isn't out yet, but Pak? Should be pretty baller. X-Men is kind of just okay so far. I assume you're getting Uncanny, right? Also Generation Hope should be good.
Renumber? They're going back to the old numbering, with Wolverine #300 by Aaron and Kubert. And that's the first I've heard about Aaron being off Wolverine, where did you hear that?Garryk said:WTF? I just read that Jason Aaron will be off Wolverine after they renumber the series early next year. Just when I start getting into Wolverine they take Aaron off the title.
Also, I hate renumberings.

That's what I meant. I don't like it when they start at #1 so people will snatch up #1s and then be like "oh, time for a milestone! Let's go back to the original numbering." I need some commitment.
As for the news, I don't know how credible "A Comic Book Blog" is, but I like to read their reviews.
So lets talk opinions. Its a streak ladies and gentleman. Three issues in a row of of great comic book. If only Jason Aaron could have done such a great job from the beginning, he might not be leaving this book. (Whats that you say? Leaving? Well, as of issue #300 (yes, its getting renumbered AGAIN) Jason Aaron is no longer the writer)
There's some very impressive art throughout, but the story is just a huge mess. That's setting aside the reprehensible ideology altogether.NEO0MJ said:So, did anyone here read Holy Terror? I was wondering how good it was, regardless of how stupid the reason for writing it was. Aside from stores not bringing it here I don't think I can judge it fairly because of who I am.

Why has Marvel been polybagging so many comic books lately? I thought we had pretty much accepted those as a bad idea for the last 15 years or so. If they're going to bring back polybagging then they might as well go all the way and bring back chromium too.

FoneBone said:DC continues its absolutely asinine trade policies for the New 52. Collections will begin to appear in May, but will be rolled out gradually through November. This means that - assuming everything stays on schedule - some arcs won't be collected until eight or even nine months after their completion.

Lionel Mandrake said:I still want some opinions on Batman Noel.
I caught the preview on CBR, and it's soooo horrible. First, no more greasepaint for Harley; her entire body is now the same sickly white pallor as the Joker. Second, she's complaining to her teammates about how her skin color prevents her from blending in as they don civilian clothes... while she squeezes into a pair of Daisy Dukes and an unbuttoned flannel shirt knotted just below her cleavage. They're going undercover, her clown skin is a dead giveaway (not to mention that terrible dyejob), so... show more skin?Penguin said:I was all like :O at the end. When is issue 4!
Resurrection Man is such a fantastic series, one of my favs of the new 52, and issue 3 was probably the best one yet.
Also it seems like Harley's costume becomes less and less clothing as the months go on.
