Who says Thunderbolts, New Mutants, or Generation Hope are getting cancelled?

Or is this one of nem "I like one book getting cancelled so I bet all the books I like are getting cancelled" kinda thing?

Dunno about New Mutants, but Thunderbolts and Generation Hope (along with Avengers Academy, Daken, Black Panther, and Ghost Rider) all sold worse than X-23 did in October, and recent statements from Brevoort and Alonso have alluded pretty strongly to the cancellation threshold being raised as a result of Ike Perlmutter's penny-pinching. It's pretty straightforward. While Gen Hope and X-Factor may get a reprieve due to their ties to Regenesis, the others probably aren't long for this world.

Ive watched enough Hentai to know where this is going.....

A little pixelation and the image suddenly seems so much worse.

On Topic

Just read through Incredible Hulk #2....and this really feels more like a What if Saga, i cant believe Marvel is really running with this.

Also, did anyone else ask themselves "Since when can hulk fly" towards the end of the book?
Im not sure im gonna keep following Hulk right now, he might be one of my favorite characters but it just doesnt seem to be worth it.

Not to bring digital conversation back but all of a sudden I want to try out this Comic Glass app. I've been using Zeal since the iPad launched basically.
Go for it. I'm always cheerleading ComicGlass on this board, but it really is the best comic reader app on any platform--even after the ComicZeal 5 update. CZ 5 was only an update for organizing your comic collection, it didn't do anything to fix the actual reading shortcomings I outlined in an earlier post:

Major issues with ComicZeal that other apps don't have:

-Needs to convert (as discussed above). I've never had a problem with ComicGlass loading comics extremely fast, no conversion required. No time between page turns on iPad 2.

-Still doesn't do auto-landscape mode upon rotation. Can't even view two pages as landscaped!

-Doesn't have any viewing filter options. Can't modify contrast at all.

-Always shows arrows upon page turn, distracting.

-Can't customize tap zones (not to extent of ComicGlass, anyway)

-No customizable gesture support.

-No DropBox support.

-No "Open In" function to hand off a comic from Zeal to another app.

-No bookshelf view..

Crazy gun designs maybe, but although Kirby's guns are crazy by design to fit the fantasy settings, at least his guns don't look like they'll explode in the users hands due to the impractical barrel placement

Errr. . . I'm talking about guns for Earthlings here bro.

Not trying to say Kirby = Liefield, but technical accuracy with technology is something they have both taken liberties with.

even then, kirby's pistols look like they would function without some sort of cosmic assistance. i cant say the same for liefelds stuff

I'm starting to imagine that X-23 was the first pick because the writer doesn't actually need the work to make a living. X-23 would also be easy to integrate into a team book.

Schism spoilers...

If the kids lost at the big mutant showcase I would have liked them better. Easily taking down all the heavy hitters doesn't make me think they're special. It makes me think they're here for a story or two and then gone and no one will remember them.

They're so stupid.

They need to follow the grand tradition of amazing mutant villains who are no way ridiculous, like Technet.

Oh no wait, TECHNET ARE THE GREATEST VILLAINS EVER.

Just bought my stack on ones and zeroes for the week.

Batman
Justice League
Nightwing

Will probably cave and buy more later, but this is enough for now.

As someone who loved Fear Itself, the rampantness with which every significant thing in it has been reversed (except Tony drinking) is pretty disappointing.

I'm already missing the Hawkeye mask.

Are these 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 issues worth it if I thought the event was okay? Almost picked up Captain America's but since there were more $4 books today I passed again.

You'll probably only find them as okay as the rest of FI. If you were unhappy with what specifically happened in FI, then you'll love them, as they reverse every single thing.

Holy shit, that issue of Batman was brilliant. Magnets and owls, fantastic. If people really think that Detective is the better book after reading this... Then there's no hope for them. This is how you do Batman, to the letter.

Well, a character whose shtick depends largely on truth won't accept having a liar for a mother.

short version: she mad

sub pick ups

Batman #3: finally this Owl story is picking up

The Incredible Hulk #2: getting the Dr.Moreau meets Conan vibe and why did i find She-Hulk so stimulating?

Ultimate X-Men #3: Stryker looks like a new version of the old character Maverick

Justice League #3:the more i read these the more i miss Jim Lee on the X-Men. added bonus, won the variant lotto at the comic shop. like Lees cover better though.

X-Men #21:why the hell are Sentinels still pink after all these years?????

Buyers Remorse, just don't give a damn about the characters on these teams

X-Factor #227
New Mutants #34
Generation Hope #13

I recall reading somewhere that Johns/Lee are using Darkseid right away because in their opinion, the Justice League needs to come into being because of a major threat, and threats don't get much more major than Darkseid. So they're going to use him up in the very first story, and quite possibly ruin any future potential the character had as a "puppeteer" villain reveal later on.

Just guessing here, but is the other Omnibus this one?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/0785134778/?tag=neogaf0e-20

That one is classic material from many writers/artists, and great stuff if that's what you're looking for. Some of the best Wolverine stories from the 80s are in that collection.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/0785156399/?tag=neogaf0e-20

This one is all Jason Aaron material from the last five years or so, and if you're looking to catch up with current Wolverine goings-on then it's a good place to start.

Thanks for the insight. Yes the 2009 Omnibus I was referring to is that one.

My shop didn't get Ghostbusters #3. The guy said they won't be in until next week.

*Heavy sigh*

I just picked up Justice League.
My shop told my bro they sold out, should get some on Friday. Normally I'm waiting outside the door before they open. lol

EDIT: When should I expect my Punishermax omnibus?

Bendis called dibs on Punisher. He wants to make Punisher: The Evilest Avenger

"Sometimes being an Avenger means shooting people in the face. But you don't know that you're Avengers material until that one day. When you shoot someone in the face. Which he did."

I haven't liked this current PunisherMAX story as much as the last three. Its good, but I'm not connecting with like the other ones.

Sad to see it go, though.

I don't know why I was so excited for Justice League #3. I kinda of just want to see what happens after this Arc is over.

She not the only one. The last time a writer's bullsh*t retcon disturbed me this much, Gwen had let Norman stick his Goblin dick inside and thrust home. And not only did I stop buying Spider-Man, I basically went on to drop every Marvel title I was reading except Slott's She-Hulk, for the next several years.

I went ahead and dropped Batwoman today, too.

Did she also start taking the goblin dick?

WHY WOULD YOU DROP BATWOMAN

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

yeah, and i hope she stays out of Batman, Inc.

I just feel like it'd be cooler if she just took the mantle and ran with it herself instead of becoming one of his underlings. The Bat is a symbol to her, not an organization.
