This is a fix for Star Wars Republic Commando which deals with BumpMapping problems on newer graphics cards. You are now able to play the game with Bumpmapping on high without crashes or strange looking artifacts on ingame objects which use bumpmaps. What it does: -stops chrashes caused by Bumpmapping and gives the game it's original quality -fixes a bug with wrong face normals on the back of the regular clone troopers helmet -adds a hud which is slightly tighter for a better experience (optional) -adds legs to the player in first person (optional) -the game can now be played in Full HD or even 4k -adds a new menu button to Change Fov ingame

Now I can finally replay this without it looking like ass.

Very, very cool. Between this and KotOR II also getting a new (and official) patch, it's a great time to dip back into older Star Wars games.

That said, Republic Commando is a vastly overrated and exceedingly repetitive game that I had to force myself to finish, and I don't think any amount of bump mapping will change that.

I saw this the other day. I actually tried playing this game on PC a few months back but it just didn't run as well as I'd like. I'll check this out over the weekend.

Holy shit I've been wanting this since 2006, and in fact just recently posted about wanting a fix on gaf just a week or so ago. Thank you for sharing this!

I tryed this. The legs are neat, until you get downed and realize they are disembodied from you and keep standing in front of your view while you agonize on the floor. =p

Long term mod support for PC games is always fantastic but yeah, I completely agree with you here. After hearing all the praise I tried it and could only make it a few levels in before giving up out of boredom.

I played through this game using this fix a few months ago. Main thing I dislike about it is that the weapons felt like they lack weight, which made the shooting kind of boring later on. BUT there's enough cool moments spread out throughout the game that makes it worthwhile.

Oh man this is fantastic...Thank you so much for posting this. Just shared it with a buddy of mine.

Now about that sequel...

Link seem to be down right now, any chance someone can rehost on something like Mega?

EDIT: Never mind, seems to have fixed itself.
