YOU TURN UP THE FUCKING BRIGHTNESS. :lol can you believe i played thru the subway tunnels before looking into the options to turn up the brightness? I thought the game was suposed to be dark on purpose for flashlight effect and then i got to the tunnels and couldnt see shit. :lol "turn up brightness until you can see the X" OOOOOOOOOH!!!! :lol

Yeah, alot of games are too dark nowadays. I guess thats what happens when you dev. and test. on super bright plasmas and LCDs.

This is more because my monitor sucks than anything, but in HL2 brightness adjustor I cant see a single line of text(out of 3).

I do appreciate games that allow you to tweak it.

I really liked the look of Condemned (gonna try to scoop it on Boxing Day) when it was a bit brighter, and the dark part that were earlier black, can be seen with the naked eye, and then playing without the flashlight. Awesome stuff.

I would love to play Condemned more but the LCD I currently play on have NO blackness... The closest to black I can get is dark blue tint. :|

So I have only played the first level a few times to save the rest for when I get a real screen.

Splinter Cell 3 does it. King Kong issues are adressed too.

unfortunately, console manufacturers didn't listen to my advices :)

Including a brightness, colour, contrast, gamma tweaker in the dashboard, with all games using those settings. Like colorific software or something similar.

Programmers would develop their games following a standard, players would experience them exactly the way they're supposed to..
