Just looking at these two pictures side by side instills a sensation of pure darkness inside my soul.

He looks like he could be an incidental or side character in a Conker game but he looks nothing like Conker himself other than colors. I feel like you could show people a picture of Conker and say "draw him but younger" and not a single person would make this. You usually try to keep defining characteristics when aging a character up or down, like oh say the entire shape of their head and face.

Well, technically, this is only a tech demo for Hololens dev kits. We have yet to see them actually make a new Conker game.

Look at how Pixar aged down Sully, Mike, and Randall in Monster's University for an example of how to do this properly. Or maybe even like, any other "young" version of a preexisting character ever.

Even young Joanna Dark (both versions) didn't look this stupid. Aside from the neck tattoo they both at least looked like younger, more lively versions of the Joanna in Perfect Dark.

We already know what a "Young Conker" would look like, though. Take a look at Diddy Kong Racing, Conker Pocket Tales or footage of Twelve Tales Conker 64 (before it was transformed into Bad Fur Day).

Also, if BFD's box is to be believed, Conker is 21.

Except he isn't famous. Now, if it were Mario or Sonic it would have actually made some sense. The only people who know Conker are traditional gamers.

They could have used the Project Spark model for the tech demo though, as Chris Seavor thought was the case. This thing is a bastardized Conker so I get why fans are pissed.

A character that hasn't got a new game in 15 years after the sequel was cancelled following Microsoft's acquisition of RARE in 2002,releasing a not so great remake of Bad Fur Day on Xbox,expecting fans to build their own Conker game in Project Spark instead of doing it themselves,cancelling Conker's Big Reunion episodic content for Project Spark,and now this bastardization of the original character design of Conker.

So yes fans are mad that Microsoft seemingly has been the whole reason why nothing good has come out of the IP in 15 years.

Try focusing on the bigger picture. It's not always what you see.

If people stop hating, and freaking out for no reason and actually watch the video and listen to what they are saying. It will be lot clearer.

At no point during the video, they implied Conker franchise is back, this is for gamer, this is what we thought you guys wanted. So people seriously need to get over the fact that their dreams are some how crushed because they were expecting something that was never promised.

Seems to me that the whole purpose of this was to show developers what they can do, API's they can use and how its actually possible to create a little animated object that would interacts with the surrounding.

Conker ever only worked if you were a 12 year old convinced you're too cool for the N64 you got for your 8th birthday. I hope this is completely different from the original, because if it's at all like the original it will be embarrassingly awful.

I just can't comprehend the logic behind this. If you were around back then for Conker, you're definitely too old to see the appeal of this design. Hell, even for 2005.

After all, it is a friggin tech demo, they might as well have used Donald Trump in a speedo, it's the proof of concept that matters.
