Consequence of Sound Ranks Every Disney Song EVER

I've never understood the popularity of A Whole New World. I've seen Aladdin numerous times and it's pretty much the only part of the movie I'd rather just skip. At least the other songs are fun.

The quickest way to check if you were born in the late 90's. I bet you love Frozen. I bet you LOVED IT.

Yeah I raised an eyebrow at that one too. We loved "Higitus Figitus" as kids, we may even reference it with my sisters decades later.
Anyway "Bare Necessities" is there so it's mostly fine. But most of the other Jungle Book songs should be there too, I think they're the most memorable of the whole Disney productions.

No I'll make a man out of you? but Frozen gets in?

And Higitus Figitus in the worst 20?

Fuck this list, fuck the people who made it and FUCK FROZEN.

What do you like? And not just Disney songs, just things in general.
I like all kinds of music and can easily enjoy something similar to A Whole New World. It's just that I don't see what makes it so special, since I've always seen it as a rather average ballad. I'm not feeling it and therefore I'd just like to hear why others love it so much.

OP kind of fucked up by only listing a top 20. A lot of the songs people are complaining about not being there are in the top 40 or 50.

Edit: so I'll Make a Man Out of You... the thing is, that song is really really good in the context of the film with the training montage. Just purely as a song, if I were only listening to audio, judging only the songwriting and composition, I don't think it's top 20. That "mysterious as the dark side of the moon" part is really great, but not all of it is really top 20 material, and that's only because the songs ranked that high are just masterful examples of somgwriting, Let It Go notwithstanding.

lol what. The best Disney Villain song, Hellfire, wasn't in the top 20 but Let it Go was?

I love Let it Go, but Hellfire is just beautiful music, you don't need to be a disney fan to love it.

No Tarzan lmao. You'll be in my heart is leagues better than half of those songs.

Man I hate Frozen so much. There are a few songs in there that are fun but Let It Go and Do You Want To Build a Snowman aren't them.

Word. I really hate that weird wimpery hook/chorus in Let It Go. I think Love Is An Open Door is way better. (not that I would put it in the top 20)

Just looked at the hole list. So according to them the "best" Tarzan song is at #88 and it's Trashin' The Camp...

That might be a nice scene but that song is not special or memorable.

Welcome in the worst 20? Seriously? And no mention of Hellfire or Be Prepared in the Top 20, but Let It Go is there? Disgusting list.

Come on the lyrics are so memorable

Babadee babadoo babadeee babadee da doo da
Babadee babadoo babadeee babadee da da doo de da
Babadee babadoo babada babadee da doo da
Dweeeeeee bop dweee ooooo

Hellfire is one of my favourites and the Bells of Notre Dame is also good. Also no Be Prepared.

The Villains have the best songs.

I am not surprised at Number One it's the most iconic song and it's motif plays for anything Disney.

Man hellfire is Soo good!

Where is "be a man" (mulan)

And you'll be in my heart (Tarzan)

Plus are you ready from (princess and the frog )

Nah bruh. It was the one thing that wasn't oversold in the entire movie. I seriously don't get the high praise for it but that song delivered.
I'd say that the "For the First Time in Forever" segment was the best part of the movie and more deserving of becoming a classic. Ah well.

Seems like a lot of these are ranked by how well known they are, not their quality. A common problem with top "_" lists.

Hellfire should be top 5 minimum.

Having looked at the entire list, why the fuck is "Mine, Mine, Mine" near the bottom of the list? That's one of my favorite villain songs and they have it lower than Home on the fucking Range?! Nonsense!

Mine Mine Mine is amongst the best villains songs next to Hellfire. Another indicator of why this list ain't shit

This is the one that just jumped out to me. One of my favorite Disney songs.

And no I'll Make a Man Out of You, either.

Let it Go wasn't even the best Frozen song.

Yeah, I don't get it either. It's by far the worst song in Aladdin and nowhere near as good as love songs from other Disney movies (Can you feel the love tonight, Beauty & the Beast, I won't say I'm in love).

The writer(s) clearly hate Sword in the Stone.

The songs aren't supposed to be musical masterpieces, but the rambling incantations and life lessons and monologues of an eccentric old male wizard with short term memory issues. :P
The songs are short, catchy, and tie into the film sequencestars. I wouldn't rank any of them poorly or well

After the line "You won't get a sniff without me," Jeremy Irons's voice gave out. The rest of Be Prepared is sung by Jim Cummings.

can you search the list? I want to know where "Friends on the otherside" landed.

Ranks at #154. One of my favorite villain songs ): Feels like most people don't even care about Princess and the Frog though. I thought after the movie came out there'd be all this merchandise for him, but nope...I still want a card deck like his.
