Console boxes and where to store them.

xxracerxx

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

with a bonus Sam & Max box!

So besides the PS4, Headset and PS3 slim, all of these boxes have their contents. Sadly in and out of the boxes these things take up a lot of space and I am trying to figure out a way to store them so I can grab them when I want.

So right all the games and other accessories are stored in weather proof plastic containers and are kept in the finished basement. There really isn't room on the shelves for the game boxes and I am considering putting them in the attic, but the rub there is that the attic fluctuates in temperature. It gets boiling hot in there during the summer and cold in the winter, but there is no moisture issue.

So what say you GAF, safe to store in the attic?

P.S. Look how small the PS2 blue box looks in there, what a system!

I flatened all my console boxes and stored them between the bed and the wall. The inserts are all in a small box under the bed

I get those storage plastic crates. And keep them in there.

I really don't have much storage space where i currently live, but this does the trick. keeps them sealed and out of the way. Also it kinda keeps them organized and in once place. Game of tetris once you have to figure how to fit them all.

Once all in one place like this it would be ok to store somewhere. If you just want an opinion the attic sounds fine as long as it doesn't get too humid.

I have mine in my attic in black garbage bags for extra protection. Till one of my kids moves out and I have a proper game room.

Still have most of mine. Had my original SNES and N64 boxes in prime condition for the longest time, but then my dad tossed them out.

Nowadays I keep them in the attic. It's hot up there but it's nice and dry.

I store my console boxes in the attic. Though, for me its boxes only. I think if your attic is dry (as you mentioned) they should be fine..

Attic is fine.

The timing of this thread is crazy. My wife took off work today to reorganize our basement and storage room and is giving me shit about all the empty boxes I'm hoarding. They're mostly game console boxes, collector's edition game boxes, LEGO boxes and PC part boxes.

I'm planning to take out the manuals and accessories and recycle the boxes. We have a toddler now, so we need the space!

Ha! The best part about organizing the basement is that I am finding all the gems that were stashed away in boxes with no labels...like Tie Fighter and the expansions on floppy disks as well as a ton of Indiana Jones LucasArts games.

I think the Driving Force, Wii Fit Board and Kinect are all going to go to Goodwill.

All of mine are in the loft - even with the consoles in...

All the boxes are fine. Yes it gets cold up there, but the boxes are fine. The consoles too (when I test them)

Nearest hardware store get some wood and metal L-joint things to put shelves above the ones already in a closet. I added two more shelves in my office closet to store all my extra boxes and shit. I just keep boxes for resale though, I don't have a collection of old ones. Cost maybe $20 and an hour of my time to do both shelves.

I should probably do some pruning. I doubt I'll ever sell LBP2 CE for PS3. lol
