Using ニンテンドー Wi-Fi connection function, when you connect with DS of the friend, the character where hobby and comment etc. of the friend are reflected as a resident NPC appearance to your DS! !

The friend living in the stage of his own venture, you give what, become power. With the various scene, probably to cooperate via venture!

While advancing the game, private stage "y y island of the friend contact (description below)" and it probably will enjoy the change of the world freely!

There you go. Mystery solved. Using Wi-Fi, The friend living in the stage of his own venture, you give what, become power.

Either way, I want this game to come over badly. Let it happen.

Fuck Ubi Soft. They have the worst localizations I've been forced to suffer through in ages.
Welcome to the wonderful world of PAL gaming!

The game looks real nice, and by the way that IGN writing articles up about it - it may just as well head over to the US.

So whoever you connect with will be represented as a NPC in the gameworld after you've disconnected with them? There was some scans where you can wear all types of outfits, does that what they mean with - "the character where hobby and coment .... reflected as a NPC" - Like maybe you can imput your own comments and have a sort of customizable look, and you can exist in someone else's game? Just shooting into the dark with this of course, but very interesting if that is indeed what that means. :)

And of course the 2nd part is almost definitely co-op play of some sort.

*excitement rises*

So now the question is...

Does that pouch it come with fit a DS or a DS Lite? :)

And, whats the release date again?

Man, I hope it sells - I want Suda to get a lot of industry respect, he's sure kicking ass these days. I want Nintendo to swoop him up - he seems to love them, at any rate.

Has he made games for other systems?
Killer7 he did for GC - Capcom did the actual PS2 development
CONTACT for the DS
and his Revolution game...

hmm, could be a good niche partnership.

DS RPG of the Year?

Quite possibly.

EDIT:

Also, Suda has made:

Twilight Syndrome: Search (PS1)
Twilight Syndrome: Investigation (PS1)
Moonlight Syndrome (PS1)
The Silver Case (PS1)
Flower, Sun & Rain (PS2)
Michigan: Report from Hell (PS2)
killer7 (GC)
Contact (DS)
Revolution Game (Rev, duh)

They also did some popular anime PS2 game recently, they definitely have made more games.

Now, now. Contact looks *amazing*, but it's going to have some serious competition from Final Fantasy III, Children of Mana, Tales of the Tempest, Xenosaga, Rune Factory, ASH, Pokemon, and of course... Tingle RPG!

I know Grasshopper made those other games, but was Suda the head of the house on all those projects? (And where any of them good? None came over shores, though)

I'm pretty sure he was for Michigan and Flower, Sun & Rain. Not sure about the others though, but it's quite possible.

EDIT: Michigan is fun, though lacking that much gameplay. I've never played Flower, Sun & Rain, though. I haven't heard too much about it, either.

Hmm I am going to have to buy this one....

I might as well go preorder it soon. Is that pouch in the pics a preorder gift?

Edit: Ah nevermind, I checked the site and it is a preorder gift. That makes this a first day purchase...

That old dude looks like Gyromite.

You mean Professor Hector, the old scientist in the game Gyromite.

Not to be confused with Professor Vector, his evil...er... twin... something.

I am getting this, along with a bunch of other titles, when I go to Japan this summer. There are so many titles that will never be released in the West.

The West is getting Tao's Adventure and Lost Magic. There's no reason to start off with the assumption that it won't also end up getting games like Contact, Deep Labyrinth, and so on.

I am studying Japanese at university, that's my main reason actually. Give me some time and I'll be able to translate Japanese and Korean websites. :)
Titles like Goemon and Super Jump Stars won't make it out of Japan, pretty sure about that.

I have a feeling this will come to the US, its had a fair bit of coverage from Western mags and doesn't seem "too quirky". Been interested in this for a long time as it is supposed to make innovative use of wifi, hence the name Contact and constant wifi logo.

Despite the fact that it lacks female characters, I just might buy this (if it comes to the US) just on the basis that the bottom halves of these two shots respectively remind me of the Shingo Forest and the last dungeon in Star Ocean 2. >_>
