Killed the shoulder buttons on my 8bitdo Ultimate 2 last weekend playing Luna Abyss.
Both shoulder buttons stick, no longer bounce back, something inside is broken, a spring or plastic.
I believe this has been the quickest to die of all the controllers I have owned.
Not sure I want the 8bitdo 3E anymore.

Gamesir G7 Pro is too clicky and several reviews say the D pad is awful.
Steam Controller no email from the preorder yet. I don't know if I even want it anymore, reports about rumble being borked this morning.

I'm probly going to simply get another Series Elite 2 Core controller, I know I'll get several years out of it at least. I can repurpose the old zipper case, charge dock and paddles.

Email them and they'll probably send you a replacement. Every 8bitdo controller Ive owned has been a tank.

Hear me out though. The bumpers on Xbox controllers are s-h-i-t-e (even on the Elite), and strangely enough the DualSense, for all its issues, is actually pretty solid when it comes to bumpers and face buttons.
What I would do in your case is just get a plain old DualSense and mod or replace the thumbsticks with TMR ones, and you're basically set. That's what I did, because I used to have the same headache, and I couldn't be happier. The main issue with the DualSense (stick drift) gets effectively solved that way.
Then spend another 10 Eurodollars on a higher-capacity battery, swap it in, and you're golden. Battery life is the DualSense's second weak point, so fixing that rounds it out nicely.

PS : No one will ever convince me that 8-bit do controllers have good quality, no matter how lovely they feel in the hands...

Consider the Vader 5 Pro v2 or the Beitong KP70 imo. The 1st one particularly is good for shooters if you're into that.

If this indeed bring the features of Dualsense to PC I'll definitely buy it somehow.

So, first off I only bought this because of the Dualsense features. It can apparently do other things but I only really wanted adaptive triggers that work via wireless. And I'm happy to report that yes, it does. The Dualsense is now fully functional on PC. I know there was that DIY Rasberry Pi that was posted earlier but I'm lazy and already have Amazon credit from back when I returned the TT Max.

I think I might grab one of these as well. I thought about doing the Raspberry Pi thing but I wouldn't want it laying out without a case and by the time I buy the pi + a case it'll be close in price anyway.
