Alright, here's the deal. I love the first three books in the Song of Fire and Ice series.
But "A Feast for Crows" is terrible. I'm at page 362 right now, and I am not compelled to finish the book at all. The sections with Sansa, Arya, and Cersei are good, but they are few and far between, replaced with awful chapters dedicated to ancillary characters and Briene (sweet jesus her chapters suck). The next chapter is Briene's, and I don't want to read through it.
However, I do want to see what happens with Sansa, Arya, and Cersei, and I want to be prepared for A Dance for Dragons (which will hopefully NOT have crappy filler chapters).
My question is, is there ANYTHING compelling in the next half of the book that I should keep reading for? Some major plot development of any sort? Or is the second half a painful sludge of exposition like the first?
