ok....god damn it....normally i wouldn't even consider faceplates but i have seen like 3 that are fantastic....this one would look wicked in my living room, and I have like 3 club posters in frames right by the Telly that this would look amazing by....sigh...where can I get it (as if my wallet wasn't going to be assaulted enough over the next few months...

I'd be a lot more interested in a 360 faceplate if the colour scheme blended in with the console.

See that is cool, it works, it blends, it doesn't look out of place. Most of the ones I see are bright, bold and just don't work when put on a console. Its like wearing Hugo Boss up to your waist, then thrift store wares on top.

I would agree with you, but because of where my x box is within the entertainment center, the sides aren't really visible and its horizontal, so a lot of these would look really cool.

I haven't even looked at faceplate's for ages since i saw that entirely chrome effort and that was so ugly it made me sick in my mouth a little but some of these....just very nice...

See I would happily get a faceplate if I had that sort of setup. If all you could see was the faceplate then it'd look a lot better. As it is my 360 is on an open TV stand so all of it is visible, I don't think a faceplate would do much for aesthetics.

I suppose there vinyl coverings to help blend the faceplate in, but the idea of adding more layers to a 360 doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. It just screams "Permanent Towel Trick".

I like the Transformers G1 Decepticons pack that Core Gamer has in stores... the Soundwave and Devastator inserts for it are particularly sex. I have the Devastator plate attached because I like it's green and purple color scheme.

The cool thing is, if you don't like busy faceplates, you can leave the insert and transparent portion off and just use the base plate -- which looks like the normal light-tan 360 plate except the power button is a Decepticon symbol that glows when the system is on.

I'd post an image, but the only one I can find is the teensy one at www.coregamer.com .

It's a core system. I tossed the DoaX plate on my us premium and im@s on my jp core, which was the Blue Dragon box depicted in the back.

I like the Epic/Gears of War one from E3. Can't seem to track down a pic, but damn, it's sexy.

Mind you, I don't have one. *sob*

I have one of those gameface faceplates and this sounds similar. I have a couple transformers templates already but i'm currently using a X-men age of apocalypse one right now. They work pretty well just have to set the printer at high quality.

One thing I never understood about the faceplates out there is they they are almost never designed with the 360's features in mind. They never work with or around the various ports, the disc tray, and especially the ring of light. They look exactly like they are: A cool image pasted over a faceplate, with bits missing and others distorted.

Mind you, I do like one faceplate... the original E3 limited edition. Classy, understated, fits a normal 360's colour scheme:

I got a lot of money off of ebay for that one.

I'll sell you mine. It's even signed by The Man.

yeah i know what you mean!:lol :lol

But looking at some of these it just seems as i have the setup and its a "safe" (for 360 anyway) way to store my box i could really do with making it look a little cooler...though if i start moving onto all over coverings and adding lights and sparklers i may stop myself...probably...
